Loved the privacy of this apartment in the property and the fact that there is back a "back door" just for this apartment, which made it easier to get to my car which was parked at the front of the property. And although I had expected parking spaces inside the apartment lot, the area is pretty safe so I was not worried.

The bathroom floor was overflooded every time we showered.

It's in a perfect location. Only 5 minutes walk to the main street. And without the noise of the cars and other tourists. It has everything we were looking for. A small apartment were we could cook, rest and hang out close to all the cool places of the town. The staff was very friendly! And the pool really clean.

The host cancelled to me last minute couldn’t get in and had to find another accommodation. Also, I’m not sure if I have been charged or not.

Beautiful grounds, lush and natural, set the mood for a quiet, relaxing, private retreat from the noise of the town, which is a mere 3 minute walk. The beach is a 5 minute walk, yes just 5 minutes to the best swimming and surfing beach with lots of shade. The 'room' is just perfect. Its a full apartment with a full kitchen, gas stove with oven, full fridge, utensils, coffee pot, toaster, and blender. Powder room on first level with living area and a walk out onto a lovely patio overlooking the gardens and pool. 2nd floor has double bed and single, huge closets, built in safe, and massive bathroom. Ceiling fans and AC on both levels makes for comfort and escape from the heat outside. The pool area is lovely. Big enough for floating around chatting with other guests. Gets lots of shade in afternoon, and there are more than enough loungers and chairs for everyone. The owner and the staff are very kind, friendly, and professional people. They made us feel welcome and also left us alone to enjoy ourselves. At times it was like we had our own slice of heaven! Howler Monkeys hanging out in the trees above us, wildlife at night was fun to see as well. And the two cats that have made it home were pleasant and friendly. Anything you needed was provided. Any question answered quickly. If you needed your room cleaned, needed more matches for the stove etc you just asked. We can't express how lovely Tamarindo Blue was. We were there for 3 weeks. We cooked every day and enjoyed getting to know the local spices and dishes. We felt 100% safe and at home from day 1. If you are a person who wants that all inclusive gated pampered holiday this is not for you. If you are a person who loves to travel, experience the country, and take care of yourself than you can not go wrong here. Really really great. I am a picky traveler and have high standards and I was so happy there. And the value for the cost!!!! Amazing.

It was a traumatazing experience.

The owner entered my apartment without my permission or awareness, violating my privacy and personal belongings. The place is very dusty, revealing complete lack of deep cleaning schedule. There is a general look and feel of torn down, like rusty faucet and cracks on the walls (structural foundation issues in earthquake-prone area). There is also a latent fire risk by having a gas kitchen operating next to exposed/broken microwave power cable. The bath towels just feel old and full of holes. At some point, the owner threatened me with calling the police to take me out of the establishment. Stay away from this place; there are better stays in Tamarindo for less or similar cost.

Location was exeptional and the pool was clean. The maintanence was great as well.

Staff were really helpful. I arrived early and they made every effort to make me comfortable and also to get my room ready before checking in time which I appreciated. The rooms were very clean, quiet and well equipped with AC both upstairs and downstairs.

The location of Blue Apartments was great. It was a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The pool was I really nice bonus at the end of the day after spending your time at the beach. Security was great. We were able to check in early and apartment was clean, comfortable and adorable.

Clean, walking distance to the town, big space, pool.

They had a laundry room but I couldn’t wash my clothing independently in the afternoon at 2pm. They wouldn’t let me. I had to ask the staff early in the morning to washing my clothing. This was inconvenient for a few reasons: (1) washing clothing in the morning forgoes washing the clothing I had worn for the day; (2) I don’t want strangers sorting through my private clothing; (3) this rule was not communicated to me till it was my last day and now I had a full bag of dirty clothes that went unwashed; (4) I can just do it myself, it was only 2pm well within a reading timeline.
