Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAll amazing.
Simply a hidden gem, highlight of our trip. Navigate your way up the rough dirt track and in past the animal ICU to a hidden oasis. Beautifully clean and surrounded by parrots! The staff where amazing, chef stayed late to cook for us one eve after a trip. Breakfast and dinner delivered to your balcony overlooking jungle and the Pacific. Accomodations excellent there's even a yoga studio open to the jungle and animal life! A private tour of the rescue centre in the morning and then you get to lie in bed or the pool knowing your money is helping all the amazing rehab work going on. Sitting on the rooftop lookout in the morning watching the flock of Parrots in the nearby tree was zen encapsulated!

We loved our stay at Wild Sun’s Jungle Lodge! Clean facilities, incredible wildlife sightings, and stunning jungle views with a refreshing pool. The staff and volunteers were friendly, and Jacqueline was especially welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious, and we stayed for dinner when we could—amazing food that supports their wildlife rescue work. Highly recommend for a unique, meaningful experience

NetherlandsThe location is great, nice and secluded with a great view. They do amazing work helping the animals. Communication is easy via WhatsApp and you can walk to some restaurants in 15-20 minutes or use a car when you have it. The road is doable, we did it without a 4x4. National Park Cabo Blanco is closed on some days, so check it when you want to go there.

United StatesThe A/C is noisy. If you are sensitive to noise then you might not sleep well as the jungle is alive at night too. Nothing that good noise blockers cannot solve. For dinner there is no choice.
It s in the jungle and you see all kinds of birds and animals. The pool in the midst of it all is refreshing. The owner was kind to not charge the fee when we shifted the date. We appreciated that.

CanadaA little creeped out by the army ants in our outdoor (with privacy) washroom until I learned how beneficial they are... And they were gone in short order.
It was great staying in the wilds of the jungle with enough amenities to be comfortable and know you are supporting the great work of the rescue centre. Great staff. Lots of wild things (Howler monkeys, McCaws, Capuchin monkeys, deer) in their natural habitat. You are just a quiet guest in their world. Don't come expecting the Marriott and you will do fine.

United StatesThis was an extraordinary stay. We received a warm welcome despite the late hour, care in helping us find the safest route to the property, great communication by staff at all times! We enjoyed beautiful sleep, glorious views and companions with breakfast as the macaws ate and flew around us, and a fun and funny tour of the facilities! The staff is lovely, kind, and treated us like good friends. They are doing amazing and loving work here and it was such a pleasure to see it up close by staying on the property.

SlovakiaIf you are someone who doesn't like bugs, this is not a place for you😁 Also maybe a desk or a hanger in the room wouldnt be a bad idea, since there are two people and two suitcases or backpacks.
It is in the middle of the jungle, with views of the ocean and animals everywhere. They are doing a good thing rehabilitating animals. The pool was awesome, bed was big and comfortable.

high quality rooms on the 2nd floor with fantastic views. wonderful breakfast serviced on the terrace. Loud howler monkey noises added to ambience! Morning tour was fantastic. A favorite place to stay on our trip! We ate on the beach at Cabala resort - recommended. A parade of animals! Took a dip in the small pool.

United KingdomAn extremely difficult area to travel to and 4x4s are a necessity (you can rent ATVs locally if needed) - if traveling during the wet season, river crossings will be required. Local infrastructure and facilities are underdeveloped and so this isn't a suitable destination if you are seeking comfort and luxury but it does have a lot of charm if you're prepared to accept it is underdeveloped. Guest services are extremely limited - there is no bar or on-premises shop, breakfast is served at a set time that is non-negotiable, and dinner arrangements are basic plus must be made in advance. Don't expect open access to the rescue center, this is very much a working site and there are strict rules to separate guests from the wildlife rescue center
A stunning visitors block is built alongside the more modest wildlife rescue center with very comfortable airconditioned rooms and a great breakfast served on the balcony or next to the pool. The local wildlife wanders through at leisure and they have a very interesting conservation program and the staff will do anything to help you and advise/facilitate tours in the local area. If you stay as a guest your fee goes towards the rescue center and conservation programme so you'll feel good that you're supporting the cause.

United StatesI would have liked early check-in but they have a 2pm hard start time, otherwise no complaints.
I loved the friendly staff who took care of all my requests. The grounds of this place are stunning, if you love animals they are all over, parrots, monkeys, and more just roaming free. The room was also great and exceeded my expectations based on photos. There's an incredible observation deck you can hang out on.

Everything was amazing i didnt want to leave, what can i say scarlet macaws flying around, monkeys, butterflies, bats, iguanas and more. All the staff were amazing and we were served breakfast on our balcony every morning. As this is a centre for the rehabilitation of wild animals to release them back into the wild, all the money goes back in so it is non-profit making, i was more than happy i chose to stay here knowing my money was being spent on these lovely animals. The accommodation was absolutely fabulous and the pool was great to relax in whilst watching wildlife. I will definately be going back here.
