First off, the staff was fantastic. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Our room was big and comfortable. A/C, huge shower and great WiFi. Front desk staff can arrange any activity you can think of :)

no Internet in the bedrooms. nowhere to hang things in the bathroom and not enough hanging space for clothes in the bedroom. room was dark.

The location of the lodge was spectacular, nextdoor to a rainforest reserve with just the wonderful sounds of the forest for company. the pool was beautiful, overlooking the rainforest. the room was spacious and clean. the breakfast was huge and lots to choose from. the restaurant for dinner was very reasonably priced and good. the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The room wasn't clean. Bedspread should have been washed. Dirty light switches and overall grubbie feel. Also rooms are very loud with a neighbor. I can't imagine what it would sound like if all rooms were occupied. You hear every little sound.

I liked the grounds especially the pool with a variety of reptiles and birds. I also loved the sound of the howler monkeys.

Other reviews said the breakfast was great but we found it very basic, and the fruit was laid out with flys all over it. The eggs were great though and so was the view so don't let it put you off.

Loved this lodge - it was our favourite of our holiday! The pool just makes it really special, what a place to watch the sun rise. The aircon was a welcome surprise, rooms were huge and the reception staff helpful.

Having no hot water for 1 day of our stay (but this was fixed).

Beautiful location. Pool is lovely. Breakfast is excellent. Good value evening food. Love the eco side of the resort. Lots of wildlife to hear and see.

A decent hotel with nice surroundings. A pretty pool with a nice view into the forest. With luck you can observe some wildlife as well. Spacious and comfortable rooms.

The lodge is very unique. The rooms are in traditional styled huts. Each hut has about 6 rooms inside, and the rooms are decorated with indigenous artwork. Each room has its own seating outside. The grounds are beautiful and very interesting to explore, set amidst an archeological site. The restaurant serves delicious food and has lovely open views. The on-site infinity pool is stunning. The lodge is next to a rainforest nature reserve with a river and hanging bridges. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.

It's very atypical. The houses in the shape of large huts are very nice and the vegetation is very present all around. The infinity pool is very beautiful. But what we really liked was the location. Tirimbina Park is accessible from the hotel. Awesome.

We tried to book tours by email in advance of our trip, however when we arrived and asked about them it became apparent that the tours advertised on the website are actually run by the next door Tirimbina Reserve. You can book by walking over and asking at the Tirimbina reception, but unfortunately they weren't able to provide a guide for the particular tour we wanted to do (although the alternative tour we went on instead was very good). The pool is lovely but unfortunately on the afternoon we spent there it was taken over by a group of kids who were climbing the waterfall and bombing into it. Staff nearby didn't do anything to discourage this.

The lodge is in a beautiful setting with lovely grounds to explore. The infinity pool has amazing rainforest views. The food at the restaurant is very good - the breakfast buffet had lots of choices and was delicious. Very easy access to the Tirimbina Reserve next door (there is a footpath between the two).

internet was at best shady - had to drive 40km to owners other hotel to pay bill. breakfast and dinner was mediocre.

The food was uninteresting and service was slow. Not enough vegetarian options for dinner.

The blue jean frog and sloth. Enjoyed design of facility. I liked the bartender. Bed was comfortable.

could have some more deckchairs at the pool a little more storage in the room would be good

in the middle of the forest and only a few steps away from the national park and still close to the village La Virgen nice setup of the restaurant and the bar, room had enough space and a nice place outside; breakfast, dinner and drinks were very good personnel was very friendly and helpful

The hotel felt rather tired and not very lively. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was OK but unexciting. The room was relatively expensive and did not feel good value for money.

The property is next to a nature reserve. It is spacious and has grounds overlooking the river with a small swimming pool. The rooms are large and have en-suite facilities

Hotel seemed disinterested in its clients - perhaps the focus was on the large tour groups that pass through?
