AC in the room was very strange. It kept “resetting” after one hour to some kind of default setting (85F) so in the middle of the night suddenly I’d wake up feeling really hot, and would need to reset the air conditioning several times in the middle of the night. Also the direction by of the air conditioning blows directly onto your face while you’re sleeping.

An excellent breakfast - loved the omelette station and there was a superior selection of teas, something that is usually hard to find since more people drink coffee than tea. All the breakfast food appeared to be fresh and of superb quality. The property as a whole was very clean and up to date. The room itself was spacious and it was nice to have a full size microwave and refrigerator. Bathroom was pristine and bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided - you don't have to chase down the housekeeping cart to beg for more. Also my room (323) was quiet at night - a real bonus for a light sleeper.

I would suggest investing in a hot water dispenser instead of putting hot water in a carafe. Due to the small size of the carafe, the hot water was always running out. My other suggestion would be to have an assortment of instant oatmeal choices (all the more reason for getting a larger hot water dispenser).

The convenience of many shops and restaurants right outside the hotel,no need to use the car, easy parking.

We had 2 incidents with 2 staff members . One at breakfast where we felt my son ( adult) was in someway profiled by a server when he went to get his breakfast, he was stopped and asked if he was a guest at the hotel , this was on the second day of our 3 day stay. We are Costa Rican and my son felt he was targeted because he didn’t look like other foreign guests. He wasn’t asked for his room number which would have been more appropriate. I talked to the server about this and the manager stepped in but her explanation that they asked everyone was unsatisfactory since I was never asked nor did I see anybody else being asked. This of course ruined breakfast that day since the manager came over during our breakfast so everything got cold as I tried to explain and eat at the same time. Another incident was at the front desk when we asked for a taxi to go to the movies nearbyand got a very expensive shuttle
