Made to order breakfast by the lovely staff was a great way to start, served with bottomless cups of coffee ☕️ Pipe House is the perfect chill spot - steps from the beach, hammocks for naps and reading, areas for family connecting and card games, and an unbelievable gym (where both of my boys completed a workout.) Hands down, the best part of Pipe House are the people it attracts - the host, Daniel (IFKYK), and other travelers. The Pipe House is Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Pura Vida.

Leave your preconceived notions that vacation is about luxury and more about indulging in moments that you'll never have again. Step out out your comfort zone and immerse yourself into a truly chill zone.

Small, quite and original place to stay. Only a few rooms in a beautiful garden. Family owned and right at the beautiful beach of Playa Grande. Lovely breakfast served in the shared kitchen. Super friendly staff.

It is quite tricky if you are two in a tube to open your baggage inside the room, specially if you travel with a large suitecass. But there is plenty of room outside to organise your stuff.

Amazing vibe, comfortable in all aspects, great owner Felippe. Steps from a beautiful, secluded beach, 5 mins away from 2 good and cosy restauranrs. Bisits from Racoons and hummingbirds every day. Our kids absolutely loved it and so did we!

The sheets kept coming off the beds at night, maybe a bigger size would work better?

Perfect location a minute from a beautiful beach. Gated entrance made it feel very safe. Breakfast was awesome and staff very friendly. Room is tiny but all we needed and AC was a life saver.

The pipes are unique and worked brilliantly. They were comfortable and a great use of space. The staff were fantastic and it’s set on a beautiful and quiet stretch of beach.

There was not much atmosphere during my stay. This might just have been bad luck, but I expected a bit more of a communal vibe with the quirkiness of the property.

The place is really clean and the communal spaces are really the heart of Pipe House. The staff is really friendly as well. Overall, an incredible vibe. I was traveling on my own and felt really safe and friendly.

The quirky architecture initially drew me in, but it was the host (and baby mascot), the delicious breakfasts, the gym, the beach, and the wonderful guests that made me extend my stay by four extra nights. Every time I tried to leave, there was always another great reason to stay. The stunning sunrises and sunsets, the charm of Lolo, and endless possibilities made this a perfect 10! NB: Not a place for people with baggage.

It was a two minute walk to the beach. The hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was a typical Costa Rican breakfast and so very good. COFFEE IS EXCELLENT. I really enjoyed my stay here and would HIGHLY recommend!

one of the most favorite places we stayed, good place for meeting others, breakfast was made every morning for us by some lovely local ladies. Surf board rentals, beautiful location, would stay here again for sure.

Not much, probably not the place to stay if you had children with you.

Best part was the location of the accommodation, right by the playa grande beach. so it was great to wake up and go for a walk.

Nothing in specific, it was a good experience. Maybe breakfast should have more options.

Traveling is already a giant output of greenhouse gas so I appreciate being able to cool my small sleeping quarters with minimal AC and the cement pipe is very quiet, private, and insulated. Great idea. Love the custom blinds with the magnets. Brilliant.

Only recommendation I have is to add weatherstripping seals to the doors and openings to keep in the cool air (also helps with sound). I also realize I'm totally extreme in my preferences for minimal energy use and waste and not sure their is quite enough niche demand for that degree of ecotourism but you're well on your way if you want to lean into that more! Bunch of bougie virtue signalling eco wannabes but hell, we're out there!
