The place is beautiful surrounded by incredible nature and it has a hot spring pool Its also well located, close to the volcano and to the fortuna town

The place has no staff, we almost could not find our room. Check in and check out was not very clear also. The room was ok, big and good beds. But if you have a question or need anything you have no one to ask too. I WhatsApp them (as shared by them) and never got a reply. I didnt think it was a smooth stay, mainly because I missed the human contact, or better instructions

She it wasn’t cloudy there was a nice view of Arenal Volcano. It was clean.

There was no lighting on its road sign so in the dark it was easy to miss. There was no reception area, no one to greet arriving guests. No signage. I found the wonderful housekeeper, Teresa (she spoke little English), who was a great help to me and the other guests who had a mixup with their rooms. There were hardly any other guests there and yet I was assigned to a down hill (risky path, no stairs…I’m 82) very dark room. Teresa helped me change it. In the morning she was also the cook and cleanup person. I hope they pay her well as she did everything and was the only staff person there (I saw a maintenance man briefly and a girl who made waffles) I wouldn’t have know what to do had I not found Teresa. She was sweet and kind in spite of all she had to do.

I am sure the property is lovely but we never got to see it

They cancelled on us with a few hours notice, without really providing a reason or making an attempt to communicate with us other than through booking.com messaging. I saw the message pretty much by accident when I caught the wifi, otherwise I would have got all the way to La Fortuna with a 2 year old to find myself with no accommodation.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that’s just a short drive from local shops and restaurants, this spot is a hidden gem! Tucked away from the crowds, it’s quiet and serene at night—and in the early mornings, nature greets you with the sounds of birds, cows, roosters, and even peacocks. The property is small and charming with comfortable rooms and thoughtful amenities. Check-in and check-out are a breeze, and breakfast hits the spot. The pools are filled with soothing thermal spring water (not a natural hot spring, but still wonderfully relaxing), and the lush greenery throughout the property adds to the tropical, tranquil vibe.

The rooms have a rustic, open-air feel—so you may notice some tiny visitors like mosquitoes or spiders coming and going. While there’s no microwave, each room includes a handy mini fridge for your snacks and drinks. The property features three pool areas, and during our stay, two were filled—one with a beautiful (though partially operating) waterfall feature. Keep in mind that staff are available during the day, with a friendly housekeeper onsite daily, and self-service in the evenings adds to the laid-back, private atmosphere.

We absolutely loved the layout of the pools and the breathtaking view of Arenal Volcano. The property has a rustic charm that feels authentic and immersed in nature. One of the things we appreciated most—as Americans—was that it wasn’t overly touristy. Guests came from all over the world, which gave the place a truly international, relaxed vibe. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A beautiful stay in every way.

I don't have anything to add here. :-)

The availabilitally of hot springs and the closeness to the volcano

Definitely overrated and overpriced. This place is more like a 7.2. To the owner of this property: I understand that you want to save money and make every check in process online, but this is frustrating. The on-site son of yours greeted us but did not help us at all as he turned us back to watch his football game. Like ourselves, there was another couple who found it hard to check-in as a wanted to stay at your place. But there is no reception. People who didn't have booking or a reservation can not check in. You must stop being petty and hire someone that is on site for twenty four hours or use your useless son.

    Comfortable bed

-Toilet wouldn’t flush (had to take the lid off the tank to flush it) -staff is completely unresponsive to messages. If it’s going to be “virtual” check in and have almost no staff on the property, then you need to be checking/answering messages in case there are any urgent issues! -no room map, it’s hard to find the room getting in late in the dark without someone to show the way -they provided a kettle and cups, but no spoons or ability to make coffee -breakfast ending so early. On holiday many people like to relax and sleep in. And the breakfast itself was terrible -only one useable plug socket in the room

Hot springs pool was wonderful. Clean and beautiful. Grounds were pretty

No coffee available in the morning except with breakfast. Breakfast was ok but not great and a little later than optimal if you had a busy day planned.

Great breakfast, helpful and super nice staff. Great view of the vulcano, the hot spring pools were nice but could use some upkeep. Loved the bird watching on the property.

The reason I only gave it a 5 out of 10 were the thin walls for rooms 1-4 and the overall noise that made it very hard for us to sleep and relax. Besides the loud neighbors that can be just bad luck, the peacocks with their loud calls at 2am joined by some other birds (grackle) making a lot of noise at night and in the morning starting at sunrise at 5:30 made for some difficult nights. We solved it with earplugs. Also initially the room had a very strong chemical smell due to the cleaning liquid they use.

Room was clean, had google TV, hot water, good Internet connection, volcano view is good, the property has peacocks walking around, decent landscaping

Was expecting more based on other people's reviews and the rating on Booking.com. Disappointed with no staff being around after 4pm; this should have been clearly mentioned so that we could have booked accordingly. The door lock had a mind of its own. Bare basic room; no wardrobe, just racks. Had to ask the kitchen staff for fresh towels and cleaning after 4 days, the property was not responding over chat. Breakfast was just basic; need a car to move around, since the property is about 4km from town, and located quite inside from the main road. have to go out to the main road to get food and supplies. Had to unplug the fridge to use the kettle. not too big size of a " hot spring" (!) - was super small.

Great property, beautiful gardens, super nice hot spring pools. The property has A/C unlike many places in Costa Rica.

A group of gorgeous peacocks kept “singing” on my doorstep. Lol

The grounds were very nice, breakfast was good, peacockss were fun to watch. Pool hot water was drained and filled with fresh water every other day. It was very quiet at night.

No reception desk and 100% unresponsive owner past 4 pm. Multiple texts and calls went unanswered. The smell of the detergent used on the room floors made me gag. The rooms weren't cleaned much. No window screens on windows and ripped screens in bathrooms. Road was easy to miss and full of potholes.

    The views are amazing!

It is a virtual check-in. When I booked they said I would receive instructions the day before I arrived, but I didn't get anything. When we got there after a long hot drive I still had no instructions, and although I called the number and wrote to them using the various online methods suggested we waited and waited. Finally another guest came out and gave me an entirely new number (not listed anywhere on my booking). I contacted them and received instructions about 15 minutes later. All went well after that, but when I went to pay the next day the people at the cafe had entirely wrong information about us and charged us for several nights. They were very kind and believed me so were able to charge me the right amount. One more thing: the property has several large, gorgeous peacocks. Beautiful to look at but not so nice at 6 am when they are screaming outside your window,
