The rooms have a rustic, open-air feel—so you may notice some tiny visitors like mosquitoes or spiders coming and going. While there’s no microwave, each room includes a handy mini fridge for your snacks and drinks. The property features three pool areas, and during our stay, two were filled—one with a beautiful (though partially operating) waterfall feature. Keep in mind that staff are available during the day, with a friendly housekeeper onsite daily, and self-service in the evenings adds to the laid-back, private atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that’s just a short drive from local shops and restaurants, this spot is a hidden gem! Tucked away from the crowds, it’s quiet and serene at night—and in the early mornings, nature greets you with the sounds of birds, cows, roosters, and even peacocks. The property is small and charming with comfortable rooms and thoughtful amenities. Check-in and check-out are a breeze, and breakfast hits the spot. The pools are filled with soothing thermal spring water (not a natural hot spring, but still wonderfully relaxing), and the lush greenery throughout the property adds to the tropical, tranquil vibe.

I don't have anything to add here. :-)

We absolutely loved the layout of the pools and the breathtaking view of Arenal Volcano. The property has a rustic charm that feels authentic and immersed in nature. One of the things we appreciated most—as Americans—was that it wasn’t overly touristy. Guests came from all over the world, which gave the place a truly international, relaxed vibe. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A beautiful stay in every way.

A group of gorgeous peacocks kept “singing” on my doorstep. Lol

Great property, beautiful gardens, super nice hot spring pools. The property has A/C unlike many places in Costa Rica.

    The comment above

All was very good. Just one thing was not good. The detergent for washing the floors was too strong and overpowering. We had to open all windows and door to bring in clean air. Otherwise all very comfortable.

    An "hotel" without real reception
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Double Room

The "hotel" had the concept of "virtual reception" which means you send them a message over booking (or Whatsapp) and they will reply within a few hours. Their replies were minimal to unhelpful. There was a local stuff for breakfast who spoke very basic English Located a short drive outside of town.

The "hotel" has a few big and nice few rooms and a small pool. Hotel a big garden with trees and planes. Nice. Good WIFI and fair breakfast.

A lovely place to relax and enjoy the nature
    • Leisure trip

The walls in my room were very thin so I could hear people from next doors clearly. The unpaved road from the main road leading to the hotel did not have any street light so it was so dark when I was heading back to the hotel at night.

The pool with natural hot spring water was fantastic after a long day. Breakfast was great! Two ladies who take care of the property were warm and kind. It was a beautiful place that was away from the crowded downtown area which made my stay very peaceful and quiet. Having a full view of Arenal Volcano was a bonus.

Beautifully landscaped , several pools all warm. Wonderful staff. There was a mix up with our reservation but Teresa and Elaina sorted it out easily despite some language difficulties. Two very special ladies.

The room we were in could use a ceiling fan and screens on windows.

We decided to return for our last two nights of our four week Costa Rica exploring vaca at Loma due to the thermal pool and quiet location. The grounds are well maintained and its a little oasis away from touristy Fortuna.

The only down side (a minor one) is that the breakfast costs extra ($8 pp). This led to a bit of embarrassment since I thought it was included because I had filtered on "breakfast included" when I booked (plus this place is named Loma Real Hot Springs BED AND BREAKFAST.)

Excellent location! It is a quiet oasis (other than the occasionally boisterous resident peacocks which didn't bother us) with a beautiful garden and a warm pool. We didn't have a car and were able to walk to a few restaurants and the Eco Terminales hot springs.

The track to the hotel is gravel and has a few pot holes. Not major issue but needs to be taken slowly.

Hot springs pool looking up at the volcano was incredible. Simple but delicious breakfast in a quiet area surrounded by trees, hummingbirds, peacocks and chickens. Staff were very friendly and you can check yourself in and out. Very close to La Fortuna which has loads of restaurants. Close to Arenal Volcano which has endless activities and experiences.
