The proximity to the beach and pool area is wonderful. It’s also nice to have the local wildlife wandering around. We enjoyed the food and drinks very much and the staff were really friendly.

Gorgeous property set in the jungle and nestled right against the beach. It was quiet, clean, and the staff were fantastic. Plenty of sloths and iguanas hanging above.

The parking spaces are limited and they are on the street so we decided to not use our car so we wouldn't lose our spot.

Overall, great service. Very friendly staff and clean and nice facilities. Breakfast was excellent and varied. The access to the beach was great.

The breakfast was underwhelming, more in line with a 3-star experience. Service during breakfast felt slow and disorganized. The massage we received was excellent, though slightly overpriced and outsourced. We’ve stayed at over 20 hotels across Costa Rica, and this was the first that didn’t offer a coffee machine in the room, which was a surprise. There’s also a noticeable tendency to upsell on everything, which somewhat detracts from the relaxed luxury the hotel aims to offer.

The hotel is stunning, nestled in lush greenery that gives you the feeling of being deep in the jungle. The rooms are bright, clean, and well-maintained. The pools and hot tub are beautiful, and the front desk and hotel staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. The location is exceptional—close to everything, yet serene. Room service and dinner quality were both quite good.

This was a great place to stay with the kids. I love how they offer a pack and play free of charge. The beach across the street is pretty rough so I’d recommend going to a calmer beach h especially with little kids

Service at restaurant was not great. They were all very nice and friendly, but you could eat a whole meal waiting on a drink order. Drinks were small for the price. Hot tub never worked. They said they’d turn it on for our last night, but it rained. Lol

Beautiful, perfectly located. Really felt like we were “off the grid”.

breakfast was lovely , lots of choice. Staff very helpful and location was beautiful with private beach and access to sea. Lovely walk in to town , tuk tuks easy to catch. Lots of local restaurants.

I could nitpick but I just don't want to. Overall I think this place is great value - it is affordable luxury!

Look no further, book this place - we had the best stay! Firstly, it is the best location, short drive to Puerto Viejo but also walking distance of plenty of great restaurants and supermarkets nearby, you can even walk to the Jaguar Rescue. It feels like you're right in the jungle, the landscaping around the hotel is done so well, with the boardwalks through the trees, so all rooms feel really private and quiet and there is wildlife including sloths right amongst the trees in the hotel! Breakfast was great, and in the best spot looking right at the beach. The pools were lovely (we found three during our stay) and all the beach loungers etc. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and nice. DO NOT MISS the morning wildlife walk with the Jungle Man!! We saw eleven sloths in one hour as well as toucans, monkeys and much more! That guy is a legend.

The hotel hot tub was cold, had to ask twice to turn the heat on, also the location of the hot tub is right under trees and the mosquito level was high, spiders in the tress with web, the plants and tree right above the hot tub makes the tub half filled with debris which clogs the filter area. Needs to be better maintain as the experience was not felt.

Beach View was great from the restaurant however the beach was not user friendly due to the season and wet season. would of like to see a much cleaner beach with more sand.

Our room had a nice balcony but looking at a neighbors house so it was a bit weird sitting there and looking directly into someone’s property. Not that they were rude or anything, everyone in Puerto Viejo is super nice, just the thing about looking into someone’s property from your hotel.

Away from the center of Puerto Viejo, just enough so is quite but close enough to go anytime we wanted. Great front beach property.

Air conditioning system needs cleaning, my room had a very musty smell for my entire stay, the humidity doesn't help, however there is a lack of airflow in the room...a ceiling fan would help. Also from time to time there was a strong smell from t he sewer/septic system both in my room and also near the pool and restaurant.. it was quite unpleasant

Bedroom had a leak and whilst we were given new linen and someone came to clean, the leak wasn’t fixed. The property was a little run down - a shower outside was a bit working, things looked like they needed painting etc

On the beach. Bedroom had 2 bathrooms and was spacious for our family of 5 Restaurant was delicious and the service was good. Right on the beach which was perfect.
