The place is close to downtown, up a backstreet. Close to everything, but quiet and private. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The introduction card in the rooms was a nice touch. The showers were hot and the towels were luxurious.

We had such a great stay here! Not only was the hotel aesthetically pleasing and super cozy, but the location was perfect. It was close to everything we needed. Big shoutout to Pavel, the hotel manager because he went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. He was super accommodating, gave us amazing recommendations and answered all our questions with patience and kindness. Honestly, he helped complete the whole experience. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for both comfort and great vibes!

The Room was really clean and the service was so great. We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay in Tamarindo. The owner of the Hotel was super kind and was able to answer all our question we had regarding transportation, sightseeing and activitys. We wouls very much recomend this place!

The breakfast each morning was absolutely incredible—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. For the value, you honestly can’t beat it. My room was bright, air-conditioned, and spotless, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The common area is gorgeous, complete with a sparkling swimming pool that’s perfect for cooling off in the afternoons. I felt completely safe and relaxed the entire time. Our room at La Ramona Charming Hotel was immaculate—one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The space was airy and bright, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light and a fresh breeze. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The décor struck a perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it feel like a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Tamarindo. It’s tucked away in a quiet, peaceful area, so you can truly relax and unwind—but it’s also just a short walk to the beach and all the vibrant restaurants, shops, and nightlife Tamarindo has to offer. Waking up to the sound of birds instead of traffic was such a treat, and then being able to stroll to the ocean in minutes made it even better. It’s the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience, and I can’t imagine a better location.

The bathroom door doesn’t give enough privacy in the bathroom. Also it would have been nice to have some sort of separation between the twin bed and the beds across from the tv. Price ways it was a bit too expensive.

Breakfast was great. Location was perfect. Far enough from the center of town so it’s very peaceful and quiet. And at the same time very close to the center. A perfect location.

Big spacious room, good breakfast (very accommodating), friendly staff, nice location. Nice relaxing pool. Despite the interior looking outdated, the place was mopped and swept daily. Really enjoyed the cats on the property as well☺️

I LOVE staying here. I have stayed here before and booked it again for this trip!! It is quiet, which is important in Tamarindo. The walk to the beach is easy and I would do it every morning. It's also easy to get to the stores, grocery and restaurants . I even walked home at night with no problems. This time I stayed in a new room which was LARGE, comfortable incredibly clean and very quiet. the other rooms are also quite large, fun outdoor showers and very clean. My favorite part of staying at La Ramona is it's small, but still private. And the owners treat you like family. There's breakfast every morning, which they make for you!! They have a guard at night and locked gate, even though it feels very safe in this area. They have also added little gym which is perfect to keep up a workout routine if you want to. The location really can't be beat and is really one of the best places for the money.

There was no bathroom door so limited privacy for when you are using the bathroom. No sun loungers sadly but we were still able to sunbathe on the sofas.

I liked everything about the property but it is a little outside of downtown if you’re wanting to be near those activities.
