Lodge rooms nice but no sitting area inside.

Wonderful balcony room overlooking the expansive grounds and the beach and water. Scarlet Macaws flew overhead and squirrel monkeys swung through the trees. An iguana kept us company in the dining area. Great breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant. A lovely couple from the U.S., who have been longtime residents of Costa Rica, own this property. They were warm and welcoming and a great source of local information. We loved the hot tub and the swimming pool too. The hotel has easy access to Puerto Jimenez and its tiny airport. We have visited this hotel before and will be returning.

We came to PuertoJimenez to go Birdwatching, which we did with Royer, an excellent Birder. Also, I would recommend the Night Walk, with Emmanuelle in the Osa Interactive Garden. The Dinners & Breakfasts were excellent at the Iguana Lodge Beach Resort. The staff were very friendly, also the owner Lauren! Playing in the surf, with their Boogie Boards was challenging but fun!

Beautiful secluded location with an empty beach at the doorstep. Nice area to make daytrips to Corovado NP or Matapalo Area. Great staff, great restaurant with great food and drinks.

Iguana Lodge is a wonderful hotel placed in a small sliver of paradise. The facilities, food and staff is all great and the views and beach is beautiful. We had such a wonderful time and would love to come back to visit again one day.

Beautiful beachfront with everything you could want barefoot right on the resort. The staff is outstanding. Everything sparkly clean and comfortable.The special beach bbq night with bonfire was so special. The salt water pool so serene and an amazing yoga Shala. Lauren and Toby have created a beautiful getaway casual and perfect resort.

Lack of beach side loungers. We were in the casita that was magical. Unfortunately the guests above us were very noisy, like they were dropping stuff and moving furniture.

Serenity, pool, grounds were beautiful and easy to navigate. Comfortable restaurant, friendly staff. On the beach. Hammocks. Sarongs and robes. Yoga studio and masseuse. The airconditioned room was a blessing in the heat and humidity.

A 10 star. A beach you have for yourself. A yoga deck and a pool that is from the movies. A place that is not new anymore but the vibes are amazing. It is a creative place. You can paint you can make music. The food is amazing. Nicest crew I had in Costa Rica. And a campfire at the beach for dinner. Common what more? Please dont change too much when you renovate it. It is perfect as it is!

Wonderful hotel on a beautiful sandy beach - almost no other people on the beach, warm water for swimming, kayaking and boarding. Saw lots of birds and mammals from the hotel patio! Very friendly and attentive staff who organised a whale/dolphin boat trip for us, and also taxis into town for other activities / harbour / airport (about 10 minutes away). They were also happy to keep our bags overnight when we went hiking in the National Park. The menu for breakfast and dinner varied each day which was great, with other staples always available. Great cocktails too!

Nothing! Prior reviewers commented on the poor condition of the roads leading to the Lodge. We encountered no difficulties. While the roads are unpaved, they are no longer riddled with potholes.

Look no further-this is the place to stay on the Osa Peninsula! The Iguana Lodge is absolutely fabulous! We valued its secluded location, views of the sea, excellent staff, and delicious food. The Yoga Pavilion and pool are superb. The Lodge is a wonderful place to relax. Toby and Lauren (owners) are the inimitable hosts-they are often found dining and visiting amongst guests and are readily available to answer questions and ensure guests’ needs are being met. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning!

The food was fresh, local, and delicious. The resort is beautifully landscaped and has a magical quality with all the old-growth trees, art, and cool design. It is a very relaxing place but also offers activities with the free use of boogie boards and surfboards. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everything was wonderful for our family vacation. I love this place and hope to return again. We also spent one night at the Hilton Botanika resort and everyone preferred Iguana Lodge for its authenticity and beauty.

Our balcony room overlooked the jungle with its birds. Breakfast was delicious. We had dinner there as well and it was great. The grounds are very tropical with swimming pools and a beach and the ocean nearby.

I hope the owners are able to get the roof of the main reception area repaired. That would be another incredible spot for dining, etc. The kitchen below is very inviting for a cooking class!

Beautifully situated with a spectacular view of arguably one of the most spectacular beaches on the Osa! You're not going to want to miss the beautiful sunrise, then while being surrounded by scarlet macaws and a plethora of other fauna and flora, have a healthy breakfast of fresh fruits, delicious coffee, yogurt/granola, juices and specialty omelets and empanada. Great way to fuel your adventures for the day, so many to choose from! Highly recommend you pick an adventure with Sidnar, you will surely see and experience the beauty and wonder of the Osa and make memories that will last a lifetime. The entire staff is amazing and super helpful with whatever your needs are (shout out to Alfonso, Angie, Andreas, Mario, Oliver, Maribel and of course Mardi!). There is a reason why I keep returning to this magical area of the planet. Pura Vida!

Road leading to the lodge was a nightmare but we heard it will soon be fixed.

Very accomodating and wonderful staff, great food at the restaurant, very fresh and good variety, excellent drinks, beautiful beach and grounds, very quiet and peaceful. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend.

The road from town is terrible! Full of potholes. If you're traveling in your own car, come during daylight.

The lodge is surrounded by amazing grounds, as though we were in a well kept rainforest, full of flowers and trees, birds and monkeys. The restaurant overlooks the beach -- lovely! And the food was amazing -- fresh fish right from the gulf, beautifully prepared. The staff was kind and courteous, helpful in every way. The American owners have a great rapport with the staff. They know the area well, and helped us experience the area, working with us to find guides and tours that fit our interests. They have an ecological consciousness, making sure that would creatures stay wild.
