Parking was a challenge for me, but there are nearby places to park.

I liked pretty much everything here. The facilities are pleasant and well- maintained; the staff do a great job and are friendly. I enjoyed the free breakfast at a nearby soda, but I believe that is being discontinued. The staff are able to arrange a bird-watching tour with a very variable guide. There was reliable hot water, too!

It is pretty noisy once you open the windows because of all the AC devices running in the garden.

the shared kitchen was a great surprise...and I don't like shared kitchens. the location was great for walking to several bust routes...and the 6min walk to the breakfast spot is so worth it...bring your Zen energy and umbrellas. Just in case...but OMG. The spot is Worth IT!

In general Turrialba is not in a tourist region, so there is not much to do or see here. In relation to my booking my only gripe relates to our second morning. Our travel plans had changed meaning we now had to leave at 6am which I informed Barney as soon as we arrived. The Café would not be open at that time and thus we would miss out on breakfast. I felt that as the property was not providing this service anyway, they would not be inconvenienced nor would they incur any charge from the café and I asked them to consider refunding the cost of our 3 breakfasts - they refused which left me annoyed.

The property was a former hostel and still has a feel of this but the rooms and overall standard is very good. There is a small kitchen on site to allow you cook for yourself but we did not use it. There is a nice open but covered roof terrace. Breakfast is not provided here but from a local cafe about 200m down the same street and there are reasonable options here. Parking can be a problem but Barney was able to squeeze our car into one of the two spaces on site

This is not a reflection on the hotel, but there seemed to be limited decent eating options in town (the breakfast cafe being the notable exception)

Staff were very friendly and helpful with good knowledge of the local sights and attractions The hotel has a good central location and despite being close to the main road was quiet enough during the night There is a good shared kitchen and a nice roof terrace and garden Rooms are fairly small and basic, but clean and perfectly good for a couple of nights En suite bathroom was good with nice shower with hot water Breakfast was offsite in a local cafe and was excellent - best breakfast I had in 4 weeks in CR The property is in walking distance of the CATIE botanical gardens

First and above all, the staff, which was very kind, helpful and understanding to us (as we had just received news of a difficult situation back home). The hotel was fantastic, calm, comfortable, decorated with taste and nicely located in the center of town. We really recommend it to everyone.

after 10:30pm, some guests were deinking and chatting loundly at kichent, which should not be allowed. It was quite disappointed that I should ask the staff every day to change new bath towl.

window view from my room to backyard is so great that I could see hummingbird flying around. The kichent with all necessary stuff is very useful and helpful, which allows me to prepare some simple food.

It’s in a noisy spot for traffic.

If only for the wonderful breakfast place—a renovated railway station complete with train cars- the hotel would be a winner. But it’s also comfortable, friendly, clean and well- appointed with a spacious kitchen and quiet garden with table seating along with a rooftop sitting area. PS don’t miss the Museum at the UCR campus!

You have to pay for parking on street if few spaces in front are occupied.

We were given quiet room at back. Coffee available all day, central location. Breakfast is off site , at the old railway station which is a fabulous location with great food.

The only, small, reason this wasn’t perfect was the lack of air circulation. This was mostly in the bathroom, although there was a fan.

A great hotel with a lot of areas to use. The rooftop terrace and backyard garden were great places to sit. The common kitchen was also good: frying pan, toaster oven and microwave all available. Great hot shower! The breakfast is offered at a local bakery, and it is awesome! The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Spacious room with balcony, good shower. It’s located in the center of Turrialba. We’re lucky to park the car at the own property. Otherwise you have to park the car nearby. The breakfast is 400m down the street, in a cozy restaurant that serves delicious food. The staff was very helpful.

A gem! This hotel was very cute and well maintained. The rooms were nice and big enough. There was a beautiful garden with a terrace in the back of the house and upstairs was a huge balcony with lots of cozy seats (lounge chairs, hammock etc.). We enjoyed the stay a lot. The staff was very nice. They offer breakfast in a nearby restaurant which is also very cute.
