Nothing we didn't like!

Fabulous room for 4 people (2 beds), just how it looked in the photos. Very lovely owner/manager who was extremely helpful and friendly and recommended places for us to go and eat. Filtered water available. Great location right in the middle of town and a minute’s walk from the beach and the best bakery/breakfast option, De Gustibus. Great a/c and wifi. Lovely and clean. Great place to spend a few days in Puerto Viejo and surrounding area.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

We had the bungalow for my 2 friends and I and it was very confortable, it was clean and spacious. The location is great, only a few minute walk to the beach and center.

We enjoyed our time at Cabinas Montesol. It is perfectly located close to the beach and close to many restaurants and bars. The room was quite spacious and the staff were friendly. They even let us check in a bit earlier, which was really lovely. This is a really affordable, good option for Puerto Viejo.

Cozy room with a little outside sitting area. The shared kitchen was really helpful to prepare some snacks. Location is great in the center of town but a little secluded. Really helpful staff with a lot of recommendations for the area.

The staff is amazing. The room is simple but its enough. The place is beautiful and the location is excellent. Near the beach and the restaurants. They were so lovely with us! Help us with the car and the baggage while we were in other country. Its an amazing place!

Everything was incredibly clean, including the room and the shared bathroom (shared bathroom literally the cleanest bathroom I’ve seen in a long time!!) Beds were comfortable, it was quiet, the staff were lovely and helpful. Couldn’t ask for much more!

Overpriced for what is offered. Bathroom could be nicer. Kitchen facilities can not be used after a certain time.

Easily reached. A little walk off the main street, although on a dirt road. Staff was around at certain times.

No negative experiences were had; I liked everything about this place.

I had the pleasure of staying at Cabinas Monte Sol in November 15 - 18, 2024, and it was such a delightful experience. Iris, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming, and her son Liam brought a touch of joy to the atmosphere. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. The facilities were well-maintained, and my room was spotless, offering great comfort after long days of exploring. The location is absolutely perfect for discovering Puerto Viejo—everything is within walking distance, from charming cafes to beautiful beaches. The cleanliness of the entire property stood out, and I was impressed with how peaceful and relaxing the environment was despite being so close to all the action. The value for the money here is exceptional, making it an excellent choice for solo travelers like me or anyone seeking a cozy, convenient place to stay. Highly recommend Cabinas Monte Sol for your Puerto Viejo adventure!

When there was a power outage we were not informed at all of what was going on and the wifi didn’t work even the next morning. Power outages can happen but a little communication would’ve been nice.

The shared bathroom was really nice, the room was good as well and even had an outside space where we could dry clothes, for example.

There were less parking spaces than apartments. Parking was always a tetris. But you could park on road as well.

Great Bungalow, very large, we fitted very comfortably. Nice little patio infront of house to sit and eat. Close to the centre. Otherwise places you reach by car.

Early closing time of reception was a little tricky but they accommodated. Slightly out of the main part of time but not a big problem.
