The windows couldn't be open, still the mosquitoes came in and bit my partner throughout the night. In order to have fresh air we would have needed to keep all the doors open. The AC and the ventillation was very loud so we could only sleep with earplugs. There was no warm water. Otherwise one of us really liked the place and would have given a 9 or 10, the other really didn't and he wanted to give a 6. That is why we ended up giving a 7.

Very nice host, lovely bed, friendly neighbours, clean sheets, bed, AC and ventillation, pleaseantly quiet although it was in the heart of the village.

Super clean, very comfortable beds, shower had excellent water pressure. The bed linen was good quality, not the weirdly hot synthetic stuff many budget places have. Aircon was good and amazing to have GOOD LIGHTING in a Costa Rican hostel! The lights in the room were really great and the bathroom had an extractor fan! The room also had a clothes rail with lots of hangers and shelves and a good fridge. The bathroom lighting is excellent and has lots of shelving too. Shower is nice and big. The lady who runs the place is so nice and has a really high standard of cleaning and providing for guests. Parking available too. Great value for money.

didn’t really want to take a shower tbh. Just seemed like an old locker room musty vibe. but in all fairness, it didn’t have a musty scent and I didn’t use the shower so it was purely the look I went off of.

The place is too old and it’s very noisy You can hear the loud music from the bar and children’s playing early in the morning so no sleep at all

The reception could be better since it was a little hard to get a hold of someone at the beginning however we just waited for a few minutes.

It’s close to the main town but far enough to be able to sleep without hearing the music from the bars. It was clean and quiet. They have wifi and a nice common area to talk, play or eat.

For the price is was quiet small and shared bathroom. Expensive compared to many other places I stayed, but Cocos is pricey I guess. For being low season (rainy season) I was surprised about the price.

The location was great. 2 minute walk to the beach and the street with all the restaurants. But still quiet during evening and night. Nice, clean and comfortable room and bed.

Honestly I didn't enjoy to stay in this place, the beds weren't confortable at all and I couldn't sleep well because of the noise outside. It's a cheap price on Cocos beach area and close to the beach but this was also the worst beach I've been in Costa Rica and doesn't represent the beauty of this country.

The host is friendly and it works well if you are traveling on a budget.

Very lovely owner, kind enough to upgrade us to a private bathroom as we are staying for 5 days. Great sized rooms, private kitchen was a huge perk. Great location. Perfect stay!

The location at night was slightly sketchy but not unsafe per se. A kettle would be perfect.

The landlady is very welcoming despite the language barrier and is happy to help with whatever is needed. The price for the room is really reasonable for the location and you are only sharing a bathroom with one room/two people max. The cooking facilities are very useful. The location is right by the beach, it takes a few minutes to walk to the area with restaurants and bars.
