We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United StatesIt was very stylish, very clean. It had everything we needed it. Beds were comfy and the showers worked good. It also had Netflix available and air conditioner in every room. The kitchen also had everything one would expect. And there was coffee available and tea, which was very nice and thoughtful. Security is 24 hrs and no one enters without permit. I would definitely be back in my next trip to Jacó.

Costa RicaShowers were changing hot to cold water with no control. Some locks didn't work and there was only one TV in the entire place.
The place is beautiful, we really enjoyed it, there is plenty space outside and everything looks clean, being able to do our laundry inside was a big plus.

SwitzerlandIt had a very strong smell from a cleaning liquid, even after 2 days. We think the advertised title of the condo is a bit misleading, it’s a modern condo, but by far not new.
It’s modern and very close to Restaurants, Beach and Shops.
