I loved the location of the house in the forest. One morning we could hear the howling monkeys very close, which was amazing. Very friendly staff. Pool area is beautiful and the shared kitchen very convenient.

Great place to chill after the hustle and bustle of other parts of CR. Nothing was a problem for Yoni or Ana, including using a washing machine and a very early breakfast on departure day. We had a cabana which was awesome with monkeys right out our window. Would have stayed longer if we didn’t have flights booked.

Luz en Cielo is a wonderful hostel/hotel. So close to town, but still situated in a jungle setting. The clientele was a mix of young travelers and families. The pool was a great place to mingle.

Great location to the small town of Monteverde with everything in walking distance yet in an enchanted forest. The pool was fabulous after a long day of activities and even after dinner. Staff was awesome and I’d absolutely stay again but longer.

Awesome hostel!! It was a perfect location inside the forest but close to the beach. I didn't expect the hostel being so good but now I wish I could habe stayed longer. Its a perfect atmosphere, pefect with the pool to cool off and a great breakfast.

Best hostel in my trip to Costa Rica, loved sleeping next to the jungle, chilling in the pool with the monkeys around. Just 2 min walk from Montezuma town and 3 min to the beach. Breakfast is included and was aamazing. All the stuff were very kind and really keen to help. I love Montezuma and its chill vibe!!!!!

Dorm space is a bit tight and we had a grumpy roommate but that's life . I would suggest lights for each bed -

Monkeys, the pool, monkeys, the empanadas (sooooo yummy), the pool, location with respect to beach/town/waterfalls monkeys. Warm bread at the tienda . Breakfast.

The bunk beds are a little wobbly/unstable so little movements of the other person would wake you up. Curtains would be nice so it‘s not as bright in the room. It would be nice if at least a towel would be included in the rather high price for a hostel with dorms. Maybe more space to dry clothes/beach towels would be nice.

Nice hostel in Montezuma with a great outside area including a pool! It’s just up a small hill from the city center. The rooms are nice, everything was clean and the staff really friendly. Spacious kitchen available. The included breakfast was really good too (bread, coffee/tea, eggs, gallo pinto, fruits). There‘s a small bar on the area that offers food and cold drinks by the pool. I enjoyed my stay there especially the pool!

Having to finally move on after 2 extensions and 6 days in total...

This was the best Hostel in Costa Rica for me. Right in the jungle and close to the beach. Super friendly host family that helps you to arrange whatever you need beyond a beautiful pool from where you see the bats fly at night and the hummingbirds in the mornings. Pura Vida.

There are no blinds on the bedroom windows and the dorms are closely together so prone for noise (alarms going off in the morning etc)

Woww wowww and woww what a place. Sleeping the jungle and round the corner from town, what more can you ask for ! The place is clean. The staff are exceptional. Felt home from day one. Breakfast is super delicious. I was travelling late and they let me use the shower facilities after having checked out which was super before My 12 hrs flight :) Don’t think about it twice this is defiantly the place!

73 steps to hotel room

The hotel was our favourite in Costa Rica . The room was comfortable, although the 73 steps to reach were a challenge. The upside was that the room was level with the tree line and so just feet away from the cute monkeys . The atmosphere at the hotel was relaxed and a genuine pleasure. The staff too were lovely. Great place.

The beds were a little hard for my liking.

EVERYTHING!!! I stayed here for 5 nights and wish I would have extended my stay. It’s a short 5min walk to town but it’s tucked in the jungle so it still feels peaceful and quiet. The people who work here are so kind and helpful.. is it weird to say I miss them?! The place is incredibly clean. Each morning I was there the bathrooms were cleaned as well as all common areas. The pool is a huge plus and was perfect for cooling off after spending the day hiking. Having breakfast included was such a nice addition and really helped to meet other travelers. This was my first time solo traveling and my first time in a hostel and I am so happy I found this place. If you are looking for a place that is safe, clean, friendly, convenient, and a bargain you just found it. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

There is a small hidden area with a concrete table and bench which I don't find appealing. If this would be converted to a chill out area with hammocks and so on, that would be the icing on the cake for me.

It is an awesome place and so green. From the owners and the staff everyone was really nice. The place is clean and the mattress is good. Good breakfast too but a bit of variation would be nice. The pool is perfect to cool down a bit. Value for the money is superb.

Such a Magical Place! This is our third time visiting, and we are always incredibly grateful for our stay. Johnny, the host, is simply amazing, and the B&B is outstanding. Nestled in a beautiful jungle setting, it’s close to everything and surrounded by playful monkeys. If you’re visiting Montezuma, this is the place to stay!

There were barely any defects the only thing that I noticed was that the blankets were very thin since I sometimes got cold.

The property was really nice especially with the pool and there were also a lot of sitting areas. Everything was clean. From one of the dorms you even get a really nice view on the pool and the nature around.
