Excellent hostel right in the heart of Tortuguero village and easy too reach from the docks. We had a private room with ensuite and it was comfy and had AC - which was great to recover from the humid heat. Staff is wonderful and friendly. There's a common kitchen if you want to do your own grub, but also plenty cheap food options in the village. No problems paying with card anywhere, even small sums in the supermercado. The big highlight of this place is the tours organised through Aracari - we went on the canoe tour and the turtle tour (absolute MUST, it's incredible to see them) with Israel who is a gem of a guide, and on a night tour with another Aracari guide (sadly I don't remember his name) but he was also super great! I saw a baby sloth through his scope 😍 Also book your boat tickets ahead on tiketico, and once at the docks, look out for the Fersa/Fersa2 boats which are the ones that work with Aracari.

The contact with the hostel was great. They helped already before we arrived with tips how to come to them. They helped with al our tours. The tours were great! They had good guides!!! The location was perfect, close to the Main Street and activities. The accommodation was also great.

Great location just a short walk from the main pier. The staff here are so lovely and welcoming and happy to help with anything! We got welcome drinks on arrival which was a nice touch! Nice chill out areas and kitchen for guests to use. Nice clean hostel. Would definitely recommend

super helpful staff, the boat ride there and back was easy since the guys knew of my booking when I arrived at la pavona, made it simple and was collected at the dock on arrival. room was clean and spacious. location was perfect. staff were so lovely. did all the trips at the hostel which kept us busy, really knowledgeable guide. how he spotted the animals was amazing. breakfast was tasty. comfortable beds.

Excellent place. Great owners. Lovely staff. Delicious cooked breakfast. Close to the village, but secluded. Small kitchen to cook if you want with free tea/coffee available all day. Lovely garden to hang in under tropical trees. Close to the beach. But you cant swim in the sea due to the dangerous currents. Definitely recommend.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They met me at the boat landing and led me to the Hostel. When I arrived, they helped me book tours for the next day and provided me with all necessary info. They were also regularly available for questions. The room was very comfortable, with AC, and hot water. It was very clean and nice. The grounds of the Hostel are also very pretty with plenty of public space.

There is no ATM. So you have to pick up enough cash at the mainland to pay the hotel in Cash.

Chill garden to hang out in. Saw some Tucans in the Hostel. The place is right next to the city and helps you find great tours. Would recommend

Our room was clean and quiet after 10PM. We loved the roof top patio with roof covering which provided a great look at the tree canopy to watch birds throughout the day and a great place to do yoga! The almond tree and other fruiting trees really brings in a great variety of birds. The location was on the edge of town with a path leading to the adjacent National Park.

The location was really good : close from the main street and the beach is accessible by the soccer court at 2 min by walk. Very clean. The receptionist was very nice with us.

Lovely little hostel right next to the soccer field. Quiet garden area with a few places to sit. Short walk to beach, not great for swimming because of strong swells, dangerous currents and we were told- sharks? Kids played in the sand for hours.

It a very nice smal hotel very close to center. With clean rooms and clean bathrooms. In the middle is a garden with chairs, in a kitchen is always available coffee..Its prefect place to chill in silence.

The setting of the place. It is perfectly aligned with the vibe of Tortuguero. The location is right next to the beach. Rooms are big. No AC but a fan was enough for us. The shower was really large, it could easily fit two people. WiFi was working fine. The hostel also has lots of plants and places to chill out outside of the room. They help organize the tours in Tortuguero as well.
