The location, the service, the breakfast, the bed were all perfect! The hotel has also a very nice restaurant with very nice food, very good service and very friendly personnel.

Perfect location , lady at breakfast very nice. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings and has freshly made croissants

The bedroom didn’t have a view. The carpets are grotty. The air conditioner in room 10 doesn’t work, at all and it’s clear that the staff know this but haven’t bothered to fix it. We felt too hot immediately after check-in and asked the man to come up and help us get it working. He pressed some buttons and shrugged his shoulders saying “not working - open the windows” - it didn’t feel safe opening the windows as we have two small children and room 10 share a small inside terrace with the next room. We asked him if he had a fan or something and again he shrugged and said no- open window (we only booked this as it said it as aircon and we have two small children) It got very hot and uncomfortable at night and we slept badly both nights. Upon check out I told a different staff member that the aircon didn’t work in room 10 and he had a similar reaction. Very bad experience and will not be back to stay in La Grotta hotel as we weren’t able to sleep (which is a basic requirement of a hotel !)

- old, not clean room ( dirty walls, something purple in the bath, dirty floor) - bad smell in the bathroom - booked 2 rooms in one reservstion, got them on tje opposite floor ( one with window next to parking lot - didn’t feel safe)
