Positive section of review
Quiet, clean accommodation, on edge of town but only 10 minutes from bus drop off point and many shops, bars etc. Locked gated access (key provided) and key to room. Good wifi/internet/network, but dropped a few times, probably due to weather conditions. Good sized kitchen, 6 ring gas hob/oven, extra smaller oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster. Filtered water too! Limited pots and pans, plenty of crockery, Limited cutlery (especially spoons). Plenty of eating and/or relaxing areas in front and back, including garden areas. Laundry provided (but not used). Transport (good prices) arranged for destinations around Panama, with pickup at hostel. Ample power points in large room. Not too hot or cold, but good fan in room and blanket provided. Plenty of storage (including extra bunk bed), bin, tables, chair. Hot water to shower.

Bed a bit soft for us. Could do with some hooks for clothes. Poor light in (small) bathroom. No signs of recycling. Card payments with 6% fee (but cash accepted) Local, nearby, dogs can be noisy (barking) at night.

Lovely, quiet hostel in the south suburbs. $2-$4 by Uber from bus station, but near to local bus stop. A good walk to large supermarket. 24 hour reception, key to room. Clean, especially the well equipped kitchen. (6 ring gas hob, oven, 2nd mini-oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, juicer, toaster plenty of good pots, pans, cutlery and crockery). Hot water to sink, drying cloths. Free tea & coffee 24 hours. Plenty of eating and resting areas inside (with fans) and outside. Excellent wifi/internet/network throughout. Ample supply of power points. Air-conditioning and fan in room. Bin in room, bedside table and lamp. Comfortable bed. Laundry $3 a bag. Cash or credit card payment. Fridge in bedroom. Good size bathroom, good lighting.

Very small bedroom. Limited storage. Bed against wall. No hooks for clothes. No bulb in bedside lamp. (Sporadic) hot water to shower, either scalding hot, or cold. No visible signs of recycling. Lack of oven trays. Reception needs to use headphones during quiet hours, and try not to engage in conversations or phone calls very early in morning, or late at night, walls are very thin! We have marked down because of this, but generally a fine accommodation.

It’s the second time that I have used the apartment and everything was as I remember. It’s very quiet but only a few minutes walk to the centre of town

The only negative I can find is that even though the description mentions a washing machine. There is not one in the apartment. The staff were happy to do laundry but at 10 dollars for a small amount I would have preferred to be able to do my own laundry

Amazing location front view to the sea, great for surfing. Breakfast was good & facility are very nice.

There were not enought staff to cover the ammount of people. Food waiting time was very long, service of drinks took a while, even small things like soup missing in the room or fix a curtain, staff never show-up. If they fix this defenetly will stay again in this hotel.

We knew upfront it was a bit outdated (and i’m fine with it), but it was very much outdated. Roof of the central hall was leaking, there was water on the floor of our room, water didn’t flush and the room was not clean (hair everywhere). We got food poisoned on our first day. We have spend 3 weeks in Panama without any problems, except here. Quality of food isn’t good. Lastly, the prices for food (including breakfast), excursions and transport via the hotel are extraordinary high. Simply out of range.

We were assigned a room with a wall for a view, 5th floor, probably the neighbor building’s parking. It is low season in Panama, the hotel was definitely nowhere near full, but I guess that can happen… When we entered the room the tv was not working so we called the reception to send someone and went out. Four hours later we came back and the tv was still not working. After taking a bath, there was no way to empty the bathtub so had to call the reception again to send someone to dig and pull the drain plug out… The door. You physically could not lock the door from the inside. You could close it, but not lock it. No other way to lock it, no chain, so we slept with the door basically open. Finally, breakfast time. This one was almost funny. In the evening we received a letter under the door saying that breakfast would be served on the 4th floor for a couple of days, instead of the 5th floor as usual. So we took the elevator to the 4th floor. To our surprise, breakfast area was not there. We went back to our room and checked the letter again. 4th floor. Went down to the lobby and asked one of the employees. He courteously directed us to a different elevator and said to press 5th floor. So we did. Guess what? Found ourselves back at that floor that when taking our elevator was 4th floor. At this point we were like “is there a hidden camera somewhere?” because it was becoming funny-surreal. Basically, 4th floor from one of the hotel’s area is 5th floor in a different area. Anyways, we ate. All in all, the hotel did not live up to a 5 stars reputation, neither as cost, amenities, nor as services.

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. The staff was extremely helpful with arranging taxis, tour and restaurant bookings. The hotel itself is small, intimate, beautiful gardens and pool area.

The room (double room with shared bathroom) was like a storage room, no window to outside, very humid, tiny tiny (max 15sqm instead of the indicated 20sqm) and the AC made a constant beeping sound that the employee said "its normal that's how the AC works". Also didn't have towels like indicated in the booking. SHaredbathroom was so dirty and wasn't cleaned in there 24h we were there.
