It was clean and comfortable in the rooms we had one suite upstairs in 39 and one standard room downstairs in 37. A bit of a steep climb with cases for elderly couples with cases as there are no lifts. Close walking into the shops a bit of a hill but not too steep for a person with reasonable fitness. We would stay here again but would choose a downstairs suite.

A bit of a pain punching in the number on the front door to gain access as there was no outside light to make things easier although the screen did light up when touched.

We stayed in the studio looking out over the forest towards the ocean. The bath is cantilevered into the trees and the kitchen facilities are superb. The hosts. left beautiful bread, honey, fruit compote, savoury tarts and muffins etc etc. A short distance into town and almost adjacent to the Driving Creek Railway, an experience not to be missed.

The room was an ok size for one person staying half a day.

Room was not very clean. Not much to it. Oily hand prints on the windows after I had a shower and room steamed up, wifi was very glitchy, main late night reception wasn't very welcoming morning staff was lovely. Parking was horrendous considering its an extra $25 was narrow and uncomfortable.

Check in time by 7 pm in winter . We were rushing to reach on time. Driving from mt cook . Couldn’t dare to stop and take pictures of this beautiful country. We reached only 40 min to spare
