Our second visit and it is every bit as good as the last. Helpful and friendly staff. The new camping to go glamping installations are amazing. Everything necessary is provided. Dinner buffet was excellent and plenty for a vegetarian. Likewise breakfast. Last visit we did the rhino trekking which was excellent and the afternoon drive. Also excellent. We saw rhinos on both excursions and leopards in the afternoon. This time we drove the concession ourselves which we also enjoyed very much. We saw giraffes, springbok, zebra, kudu. The elephants still roam outside the lodge.

The Farm Shop

We really enjoyed our stay a the Farm Shop. It's a bit quirky. If you are looking for a unique experience, being treated in a very personal way and enjoy amazing food, this is the place for you. The owner, Ulf, a German married to a Namibian woman, takes his time to engage with his guests. The food was outstanding,. Both the dinner and the breakfast were the best we had in Namibia. Most of the food is from their own farm or from neighbouring farms. The large main dining room is traditionally thatched and both elegant and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.

It's a working farm with animals that can be a it noisy at times. The room was a bit run down. If you are looking for a slick modern place, this is not for you.

I love "uncomplicated" and this place was just that! Very friendly and super helpful staff and just simply easy going! Being across the road from the beach and a short, safe walk to , main beach area, restaurants and old "German Town" centre was just perfect!

Perfect location, close to everything. Clean and quiet apartments. There was a washing machine and dryer, and although we did not use them, that was a plus.

Maybe add electric blankets since Swakopmund can really be cold. However, let me hasten to say each room had a heater.

The marketing was unclear in that nothing was provided other than bed and unit. There was limited facilities for making tea or coffee and electricty just to charge a phone. If we had known this we would have been better prepared. We had no cuttlery or crockery with wich to prepare food. If the advertising was more clear we would have been better prepared. We had to leave after one night forfeiting the rest of our booking we paid for.
