I really enjoyed my stay at Kate place in Yangshuo. The location is super central, and you can reach everything quickly by bike or ferry. Kate sent me all the important information, which was very helpful. She is a very friendly and helpful host - on the first evening she even offered me some chocolate and was always available for questions. The room is cozy and has everything you need. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. I can definitely recommend this accommodation!

Staff is super friendly and helpful at the reception, well spoken English. Had a 16 hour layover after a 14 hour flight. Been few times in SH, so was looking for some recovery time. Comfy bed, quiet and nicely decorated room. Gym if you want to workout. If the hotel shuttle schedule doesn’t work out: The drive from the airport (PVG T1) takes about 25 mins. Drive to T1 costs about 60 to max 80 RMB. Tell reception you pay cash, then it’s easier for them to get you a taxi or ride.

Carol's was a home away from home. It's a place for true travelers: clean and welcoming, the food excellent, perhaps some of the best I've ever had on a trip, but the people here make the difference. They're kind and always ready to lend a hand. Carol organized our excursions beautifully; everything was perfect. She helped us find a piece of luggage we lost on a train; without her, it wouldn't have been possible. What can I say? Everything was exceptional!

There was a lot to like about this hotel! Very comfortable beds, in a spacious, clean, air-conditioned room. Incredible breakfast with every imaginable food option. Perfect location for seeing the city, directly opposite the park housing Shanghai Museum and right next door to a shopping mall and Nanjing Road metres away. Incredible view from the bar on the 47th floor. The pool was a lifesaver in the Shanghai heat! Staff friendly and helpful 24/7.

The room was a great size, and very comfy. The airport transfer was also so easy to follow and organise.

We had noisy neighbors into the late hours which was annoying. I notified the staff and they were actually great in helping.

It is dirty, nothing working (the hot water, the kettle, the electricity) and the staff is rude and careless. I even attempted to use the sauna and pool, and left as it had clearly not been cleaned for months.

The hotel was fun, stylish and in a very convenient location by the river. Located just by Ningbo Bar Street, the noise level on the top floor was not disturbing and an easy walk if you wanted to join the festive crowds.
