Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyBreakfast was do it yourself which wasn’t ideal given the kitchen could get quite busy.
Great vibe and layout, lots of great activities to do and organised with the hostel. We even did a free salsa class with the hostel, was fun. It was in a quiet residential area which felt safe. Staff were friendly and the room we stayed in the double room was very spacious and comfortable.

ColombiaThere should be some Sort of mini soap and mini shampoo in a private room. Also, it can get cold before morning starts, so some Sort of light blanket could be really helpful.
The ambience, the entrance Is gorgeus, staff Is very helpful and it's nice that it's active and social for those who are looking for this.

United KingdomA really vibey little hostel, everyone was friendly. You can run a tab for everything you buy during your stay which gives you a bit or peace of mind. I really enjoyed my private room, the bed was huge and the courtyard was super cute

UkraineGood location on quiet street. A do-it-yourself breakfast is very basic but it's OK for me, and a coffee shop in the lobby helped me to feel great. Friendly and helpful staff, a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. My room was comfortable with a small patio. Liked it. What was one of the best things about the hostel - it's organized tours from the hostel with great guide Carlos, I took two - to communa 20 and to cabaret El Mulato. Both were incredibly interesting, espesially first one thanks to Carlos. There was fantastic salsa show in the cabaret, I'll never forget.

Switzerlandnothing that was the hostels fault, but still the reason I can’t give a full 10: there were some issues with the roof, so they needed to start some emergency constructions which resulted in some noise and also changes in the bookings (mixed instead of female dorm). and a cable got stolen that resulted in there being no wifi for 1-2 days. but both incidents are nothing that could have been avoided and also Jose&co were doing their best to fix it asap and offered some compensation/solutions. they were doing their best in some complicated situations and I couldn‘t have asked for more.
the garden and rooftop, the clear structures like individual baskets in the kitchen, very clean, the very friendly and helpful staff and owner regarding all sorts of questions/issues. the set itinerary offering different activities and the communication with all the necessary info and planning in the group chat. everything seemed well thought through and costumer oriented.

GermanyNothing mayor about the hostel, but some of the services are very expensive (e.g. laundry) and everything is run by volunteers, so some of them don't really know the area and how to do things.
Cool hostel, very social. The amenities are good and it's very familiar atmosphere . The kitchen is awesome, the best I have ever seen in a hostel. I had a great time.

BelgiumI felt like the toilets didn't offer much privacy and the showers weren't the cleanest
I don't know how or why, but the hostel felt like a family. I think it's partially because the staff was so friendly and I liked the company to do tours with.

AustriaThis is surely one of the best hostels I‘ve ever stayed in! The atmosphere is great for solo travelers, it‘s a social hostel which offers tours, salsa classes, party nights etc. But also if you come here to just chill for a bit, you‘ll be perfectly able to do that, too. I really liked the food tour and the comuna 20 tour they offered (the guide is super nice!) and the salsa instructors working there are amazing! The staff and volunteers working there are always friendly and helpful. The rooms you stay in are clean and spacious and there‘s plenty of storage room for your luggage. All in all, my stay here felt more like staying in a big family house rather than a hostel, I extended my stay there twice! I really loved it and would totally come back here again!

NorwayTours/events and laundry service is handled by third parties through the hostel. The laundry is fixed at 40k COP during the week, for 0-7kg. Aka, same price no matter the kgs of laundry (up to 7 kg). In regard to the tours, I would recommend arranging this yourself. Experienced that the third party the hostel provided charged a substantially higher price than if you’d book the events yourself (specifically the Salsa Cabaret Show at El Mulato Theater on Sundays).
Very cozy hostel with a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Good facilities like a big kitchen, and areas for relaxing. Very fun with the free salsa lessons every evening! Also possible to book private salsa lessons (individual, couple or group) if you want that!
