I really enjoyed my stay at Kate place in Yangshuo. The location is super central, and you can reach everything quickly by bike or ferry. Kate sent me all the important information, which was very helpful. She is a very friendly and helpful host - on the first evening she even offered me some chocolate and was always available for questions. The room is cozy and has everything you need. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. I can definitely recommend this accommodation!

The first night I stayed in one room, and my experience was good overall, the bed was comfortable. The only issue was that the bathroom had a bad smell from the squat toilet. The host was friendly and helpful, providing useful tips about the area.

The second night I slept in a different room, and unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard, it felt like sleeping on a table. I really don’t understand how the hotel allows guests to sleep on that mattress. I also noticed that other reviews mention the same issue, yet it still hasn’t been addressed. Also it wasn’t really clean, under the sink there were tissues and plastic

Location is great and not far from the main sights of the city. We also rented a scooter provided by the hotel and it saved a lof of time for us. The administrator Kate was very welcoming, open and so nice. She shared the locations we should visit, was very kind and most importantly, she speaks English! We would definetely stay another time here, too.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Yangshuo Jing Yuan Inn! The location is perfect, just steps from the vibrant West Street, yet it feels like a peaceful retreat. Her kindness and hospitality were outstanding—she went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home. From helpful local tips to her warm, guest-oriented approach, Kate made every moment special. Amazing property located right across the river to the West Street which you can get to just by taking a ferry for 4RMB. The owner, Kate, is amazing and super friendly! Very helpful, accommodating to requests and gave so local many recommendations on what to do and where to go during my stay. Also had wonderful conversations with her. Had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to anyone!

The mattress was quite hard that I had back pain initially when lying down or sleeping. However, it went away after a while.

The location is amazing , next to river and close to city and all , staff speak English and are caring !! And helpful , Jerry and Kate made us each day watermelon and provided us with water or umbrellas etc to what we might need . Place has a charm and you get to experience peace and calm between everything else lightly away from noise of main streets and get to see the culture and people and environment . Would really recommend it .

The bed was like sleeping on a concrete floor

The young man running the accommodation was very helpful and shared some local information regarding bikeing in the area. Our room was large with a nice balcony and a relaxing garden area for relazing in. We would stay here again if in the area.

The inn is situated in a quieter area very close to the river. It was a good place to take a relaxing walk and see locals go about their everyday business. The view from the balcony across the river and to the mountains was spectacular. The room was spacious, clean and decorated in an artsy way. Jerry, who is the caretaker of the property is very helpful. He carried my luggage, helped me with my bookings and made sure I wasn't late. Jerry made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Kate the host was amazing. Super friendly and very welcoming, we could of stayed chatting all day. We were offered the option of scooters to get in to town or you can take the ferry which takes a couple of minutes. The room was comfortable with air conditioning. Our balcony provided a great view across the river looking back at Yangshou. The location is not in the main town and sits on the other side of the river. If you have arrived by a cruise boat from Guilin, then there are two option to get to the accommodation. 1. take a taxi, check with Kate what you should pay at the time. 2. Walk south from the cruise boats departure point, through the main town, around the mound and down towards a small non descriptive ferry terminal. I have marked out on the attached picture the route to follow. Allow 10-20mins from cruise departure point. Its easy to do.

The toilet in our room was a squat toilet, we both struggled a bit due to our problematic knees. Not sure if this was the case in all rooms but something to be aware of.

Kate and Jerry were very helpful, the room was nice and I particularly loved the interior design. It is a quiet cocoon, ideal to reenergize

The property is close to West Street but in a very quiet area making it the perfect place to stay if you want to avoid the crowd of tourists! Plus there’s a swing in the room 🙂 Kate and Jerry were amazing hosts, recommending very cool spots to visit, they also have electric bikes to lend to travel around the city. They made me feel at home and made this trip extraordinary, highly recommend!

We have stayed 6nights here.We love this hotel!The room is spacious and clean, decorated lovely!The location is good!The Lady who run the hotel and work here are so helpful, friendly and warm, they make you feel like a long-awaited friend. They have the right balance between giving you your personal space and privacy and nice conversation and chit-chat. I am also so thankful for their great English, so communication is really easy. We will stay here again, whenever we are in YangShuo!

The staff was very welcoming and helped us the time we were in Yangshuo. The inn is located just across the river of the center of town, which made the place quiet and peaceful at nights. The room was big, well decorated and had charming views of the Li River.

We had a great stay at Kate place. The host and co-hosts are responsive to our questions and granted our requests. The location is convenient since it is close to the West Street and near many attractions. I highly recommend this place!

Really nice hosts. I loved the location as it is outside of the main center but it didn’t take long to get there. Nice and quiet at the river, crossing it with the watertaxi was easy.

This place is very recommended!Very convinient! the room is clean and the host Kate is so nice. She helps us through out our stay for whatever we asked. I will book again if I come back to YangShuo!
