Reviews of Sheraton Grand Beijing Dongcheng Hotel

The service at this hotel was outstanding! All the staff were attentive, friendly, and made my stay truly enjoyable. A special thanks to Jeff Wu in the restaurant—he provided exceptional service, ensuring every meal was a delightful experience. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly stood out. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful stay!

Location and spa

Facilities and the staff were excellent but the dining was not barely satisfactory. We had lunch one day at the order Cantonese restaurant. The salad had virtually no dressing so we had to ask for more. We ordered beef with Flan noodles and it was not hot and there was very little beef. We went to the “seafood” buffet one night and the bill of fare was not at all at the level we have had in the past at Beijing hotels. The breakfast buffet was acceptable but again not what we had expected based on other hotels in China.

The room was great

However, for a hotel at this level, you would expect employees to have much better command of English. Also, note the indoor swimming pool is much less exciting than seen on the internet, dining options were unsatisfactory and the place is pretty far from the CNCC if you're attending a conference. Not sure all of the above justifies the high rates.

Swimming pool was very busy. Gym layout not good and not enough benches.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Most of the staff spoke English and were quick to respond to all my queries . Special thanks to Yuri at the concierge desk.
