Everything is good except for the laundry service and last night dining bad experience. Surprise to receive the cleaned clothes in wet condition... Last night dining experience was unpleasant due to on duty staff negligence of our table service, wasted an hour waiting...

Walkable distance to nearby shops and eateries... The staffs are friendly and helpful especially the hotel manager, Frank... The cleanliness of the room is at tip top condition... The room is very spacious... Comfort bed and sufficient supplies in room...

The hotel is in an excellent location, away from the heavy traffic of Chengdu. Moreover, the metro is less than 200 meters away and can take you anywhere in no time. The staff is fantastic and extremely helpful in organizing one-day or multi-day tours. The hotel manager, together with his team (especially Joey), helped us with everything we needed. The hotel courtyard is very welcoming, and the rooms are very spacious. Free laundry service is also available.

The staff are fabulous. Frank, Vivi, Joey and their team were so friendly and welcoming. They helped us with tour bookings, Didi bookings, Alipay and any general queries or problems we encountered, even bringing out umbrellas to our taxi when it was raining as we returned to the hotel. Being able to converse in English was great (someone is at the front desk 24/7). The food in their restaurant was great - tasty, large servings and very reasonably priced. The staff serving here were lovely. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely nothing.

We would give 11 stars if we could. 1. The hotel was conveniently located near the Kwanjai street area. 2. The staff were friendly and helpful. The counter staff also spoke English. 3. Great breakfast- fair selection of Western and Chinese food (including hot noodle station serving local must-try Tan Tan Noodles). 4. Free laundry service – the clothes are washed separately (1 room’s load in 1 machine). Imagine having your clothes washed, dried, folded, and handed back to you at the end a busy day out! 5. Daily refill of bottled drinking water. Speaking of drinks, there was also a drinks station at the entrance- warm chrysanthemum tea or cold cucumber-infused water - your choice. Great corner to hang out with your family/travel mates while perfecting your plans for the day. 6. Free airport pick-up. Clean and comfortable MPV. 7. Heritage architecture. From our conversation with the staff, we learned that the hotel was converted from an ancient administrative office. The structures were well-maintained. Only downside to this was that there were no lifts due to local safety regulations on historical buildings. Thankfully, the staff were quick to help us with our luggage both during check-in and check-out. 8. Local tours available for booking. Illegal rides are prevalent, so we chose the safe option by booking through the hotel. 9. Free Chinese costume available for photoshoot in the hotel, both for ladies and gentlemen. 10. The hotel itself houses a Sichuan restaurant at the ground floor. We had our dinner there and it tasted great. Prices were reasonable. Totalled to RMB 152 for 4 pax. 11. Other eateries within walking distance. Many Mala Hotpot restaurants along the street, along with a Cantonese-style restaurant for those looking for less spicy alternatives. 12. Souvenir shops just doors away – handy for last-minute gifts. 13. Umbrellas available for borrowing. Sturdy umbrellas. 14. Cake and local wine served on our first night of stay.

Pre-arrival communication flawless, respond quick and to the point. Location nice for whatever you look for: rest, shopping street, the opera Breakfast and restaurant nice with good variety traditional-western style food Friendly and polite staff who speak English well and willing to arrange whatever you want. Had to ask Belle and Frank numerous things, nothing was too much! EVERYBODY smiles Provide you with airport transfer which is perfectly on time

The only thing is very small but the toilets in the resteraunt area weren't great. Would not put me off staying here again.

The staff we're amazing. Very friendly and useful, they booked all the day trips on our behalf and even gave us phone chargers when ours didn't work. They really made the hotel experience awesome, and our first time in China a lot easier.

Nothing. It is 10/10 and one of the best in Chengdu in terms of this value and location.

Picked this hotel based on reviews and and made no mistake. Administrator was attentive and very nice with very good English, what is important for China. Free room upgrade in low season. The hotel is located on a beautiful street in authentic Chinese style. Close to metro, so it is easy to get the panda base by metro+bus. Airport is also easy reachable by metro. Will definitely stay here again, maybe to visit Jiuzhaigou next time.

Nothing Even though there is no lift,the staff helped take our cases to our room,couldn’t fault the service.

The property is very traditional and looks lovely. Perfect location for the metro and walking to main square. We ate at the hotel a couple of nights and the food was delicious. Breakfast was a mixture of Chinese and Western. When we asked for a breakfast to go as we were leaving early one morning it was all there ready at 6.15am,even though breakfast doesn’t start until later. The real selling point are Frank and his staff. We have stayed in many hotels including 5 star ones but never experienced such exceptional service as we did here. From our check in to departure nothing was too much trouble. Frank goes above and beyond to make his visitors happy. We received an upgrade on our room,cake and wine as a thank you for staying and a gift on departure. But even without these gestures you could tell he loved his job and he wanted to do it well. Thank-you for making our stay so enjoyable.

We loved everything.

We got a very friendly welcome from the manager. All our bags were taken up to our room and we were served a complimentary glass of wine each on the balcony with juice for the kids. The room was much bigger than we were expecting and very comfortable. The location is excellent, just across the road from the Sichuan Opera.

In the big room the AC is located next to the bathroom. This means the cold air doesn't reach the beds as well, so I felt a bit hot at night

Fantastic service - best we've ever received! Absolutely amazing staff, we got so much help and freebies I was rubbing my eyes in disbelief (they didn't know it was our honeymoon but still gave us complimentary cake and champagne on our last night! And a panda teddy on checkout 😃). Charming building and a really great location next to the metro station. Good breakfast. Staff speaks good English and is really helpful. We loved our stay there!

We absolutely loved this hotel! The hotel itself was stunningly beautiful with its traditional layout. We were able to check-in early, and the room had already been chilled, ready for us in the sweltering heat. The room facilities were spotlessly clean and met all of our needs. There was fresh fruit in our room on arrival and free laundry service. The hotel is literally metres away from a local opera show - the hotel can help you get tickets for this, and it's well worth seeing. It's also walking distance from many local attractions, including People's Park and the local pedestrian alleys. But above all the service of this hotel cannot be faulted. Frank at the reception provided excellent service in helping me to ship something home - even helping me track it up to a month after leaving! This is truly a must stay accomodation if you are visiting Chengdu. Brilliant value for money!

I am Yousef Balharith I'm late in the review but I won't forget I can say that Ms. Lili was special in her dealings and she made me feel the spirit of the place and the warm welcome. I also do not remember the name of the person who works with her at the reception. They were a very amazing team and the warmth of the panda. They may have acquired it from Mike, who was the real gem of the place and the teacher of the meaning of hotel management.

The free wifi wasnt the best and we were unable to use the TV.

We loved the decoration and family atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We ate at breakfast and used the restaurant many times. Both Belle and Frank were very helpful during our staff, helping to arrange tours, pick ups from the airport and being in general very kind. I would recommend this hotel to other people and choose to return myself.
