How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The air conditioning was working so well. Very little air coming out.
Close to everything. Zürich main station is just 6 mins walking down and cross the river. And the shower pressure and breakfast were great.

Booked and explicitly explained via messaging service that we wanted Twin Beds ... Got a double bed and a shoulder shrug from the reception - not an acceptable response. Once the staff realised that we were not joking, they rapidly found a 'solution' which was a double bed that could be unclipped and separated 10cm to become twin beds. Not good enough.

I visited during the summer in hot weather, and I just wanted to mention that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Sleeping at night was quite difficult because it's located close to a clock tower, so leaving the windows open wasn't really an option due to the noise. Something to be aware of if you're visiting in warmer months.
The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and very fast. Every guest request was handled efficiently and with genuine courtesy, which really stood out during our stay.

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Very comfortable bed. Room was excellent. Good location 9 minutes walk from train station and on the edge of the historic area of Zurich

No A/C, and central fans are loud and cannot be controlled from the room. You can ask at the reception to reduce fan speed or power them off.
Great location close to the train station, walking distance to main tourist attractions. Good breakfast.

However, the room itself was quite small. We happened to stay during a very hot day, and despite the fan and ventilation, the room remained uncomfortably warm.
The hotel is in a great location – close to restaurants and the train station, yet still quiet. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped, and we appreciated that checking out very early in the morning was not a problem.

Great location fairly close to train station (about 15 mins walk) but taxis available outside station. Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast (extra cost) was really nice and they will cook your eggs to your liking. Zürich is a lovely place to explore with more street cafes than you will have time to go in. Very clean and safe for walking around. Lots of beautiful buildings to see and mixture of designer and high street shops.

The glass of the shower was too small and all the toilet got wet. Also the parking is not confortable for large cars
The room was great, had AC and was in a good area to walk anywhere in Zurich. Staff super helpful. They gave a pillow menu, unluckily I saw it when I woke up on my last day

Nice location right in the Niederdorf neighborhood, 10 minutes walking from main station. Friendly reception staff. A small but cozy, nicely decorated (I picked up the double) room was awaiting for me on the 1st floor (elevator available). Plugs on one side of the bed, desk, tea and coffee facilities as well as water available. Bathroom with shower, toiletries available, hairdryer. WiFi is working good. The room was a bit warm for me but you can open the window. Open wardrobe and coat hanger. Breakfast is served from 6:30 am and has a buffet with different choices. Eggs cooked on the moment. In the nearby area many different restaurant for dinner, during the night it was quite. Definitely a nice choice in Zurich

Breakfast was very good... Parking in the underground garage was perfect but you take the car down in a car lift and I am a bit claustrophobic so grateful that its quite quick and nothing went wrong!!!

Room faced Mühlegasse which is a busy road, and the traffic was quite loud. Probably rooms on the other side of the hotel would be quieter. The room was small, and the bathroom took up an entire corner. The bathroom is a glass cabinet that doesn't give any privacy but fine if you're the sole occupant.
Clean and good appearance. Ideal for one night stay. Good location about 5 to 10 minutes' walk to the train station and Bahnhoffstrasse. Room had UK and EU sockets. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We booked a city view room(faces the street) but we got a room facing the wall in the courtyard. We asked to change rooms but are were booked for the first night and second day we asked again, got another room still in the courtyard though. Also the beds are not comfortable the mattresses got the body shape as they are not new
The location is amazing everything is reachable in a walking distance. The staff were helpful and nice and recommended good places to eat.
