Check in is in the restaurant on the same side of street as train station. Room located a half-block away, across street. Room faced street, with Disneyland like crowds outside most of day and evening, trucks and cars and trains and busses. Very noisy. View did not match sound!

The toilet partition gives you zero privacy as you can see body shapes through the lightly frosted glass.

Amazing. Plenty of options, but everything was very fresh and all the fruit was perfectly ripe.

Located very close to the train and cable car stations with excellent views of the valley, mountains, and waterfall. The staff were very accommodating with our requests and the room was clean and comfortable.

Just the fact that the room didnt have its own toilet, eventhough i was aware of it.. so i have to get out of my room in the middle of the night just to use the toilet. Also its a small toilet even for a short leg woman like me. So tall people be ware. Im not sure if other room comes with a toilet though.

I like how close it is to the train station. Staff are courteous.

Since it's close to the train station, it could get noisy at times, plus you can hear the people walking/talking upstairs. But for me, that's minimal and still great overall.

Location is perfect! You get the view of the village from the balcony. Very close to the train station, gondola to Murren, coop, bakery and bank/machine. Bed was comfy and big. Breakfast is good too - they had bacon, eggs, breads and jams, cold cuts and drinks. Staff is great too.

Central location, very easy access to station. Parking availability. Friendliness of Check-in staff. The cable car in the back garden was a very authentic touch and as a bonus, you couldn’t hear it running at all!

It's right by the train station neighbouring the track so you'll hear the train going by a few times every hour. Check the timetables of when the train arrives so you can be aware of between which hours you'll hear the train, I think it didn't run during the night hours though.

Cute little hotel in an old traditional style. It was a little difficult to find where the reception desk was as it's a restaurant as well at the bottom floor but we found it eventually after some help from guests of the restaurant. In the centre of the village and it's easy to walk to the waterfall, the glacier and just stroll around enjoying the beauty of Lauterbrunnen.

So many stairs to climb was exhausting with luggage. Grateful for the staff for helping me carry my luggage up though!

Hotel Steinbock is in a great location next to Lauterbrunnen train station and a parking garage. The hotel has its own parking space for those travelling by car. The apartments are located in two different buildings on opposite sides of the street. A Coop store is right next door. Although the hotel is located on the main street of Lauterbrunnen, it was quiet. The room was basic with a private bathroom and a balcony. The hotel restaurant served good food.

Everything was great, feels very homey. Location is great, right next to the train station. Grocery store is also few minutes walk. Breakfast was amazing! Great variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, eggs&bacon, coffee from an espresso machine. Stuff was also very nice and helpful. Wifi was good

There was kind of a musty smell in the room. It didn’t stink, but perhaps it was the smell of an old hotel room?

We had barely lukewarm water for our showers & on our last night  I couldn't actually bare to shower in the v cool water. It didn't seem to matter what time of day you showered. Breakfast was plentiful, but the food could be better covered from flies. Coming from Australia we are used to flies, but not used to having them all over the food. Perhaps a full glass/ plastic cover on the cold meats etc would be better than than the partial one.

We expected the accomodation to be simple, thinking Lautenbrunnen is a small village.The first night was good. We had added an extra night onto our stay to enjoy this beautiful area of Switzerland. Unfortunately for our other 3 nights I mistakenly booked a single room. So this was my fault, not the hotels,but less space of course added to being that bit more cramped. We were in the annexe & that was good because it was quiet & short distance to walk to breakfast. The staff were kind & at night we would be given a thermos jug of boiling water & some milk to make our cup of tea. We also kept some butter & cheese in their fridge for sandwich making for our daily explorations. I don't think this is usual but we greatly appreciated it, given no rooms have fridges or kettles. We enjoyed a very tasty pizza at the Restaurant on the 1st night. It was convenient to be next door to the supermarket, although most things at Lautenbrunnen are within close walking distance. The road in front of the hotel is busy - that was unexpected. There certainly were many tourists like ourselves taking in the beauty of this area.

Location- Situated directly opposite the train station and near the Lauterbrunnen–Mürren cable car. Shared bathroom and shower on the same floor. Bathroom sink in the room. Solid Breakfast. Value

Parking outside the hotel was available for 10chf, location is right next to the train/bus station. Staff was helpful.

We found the mattress far too firm and uncomfortable. We used one of the single duvets as a mattress topper which made it bearable. The stairs to the rooms were brutal so pack light!

Great location & nice view from the balcony. We had dinner twice at the restaurant and enjoyed our meals, reasonably priced compared to others in the street (& given its Switzerland!). Breakfast was plentiful and nice provided you got there early. They didn’t seem to replenish the fresh fruit or the eggs and bacon which were cold two out of the three mornings we were there.

The room I booked wasn’t attached to the actual hotel we checked in at. We had to walk down the street to a separate building then walk up two flights of stairs, go through another side door then to the hallway for our room. When I booked, I don’t remember the room being annexed away from the facilities. The outlets beside the bed only took USB cords so the only regular outlets were right beside the door or in the bathroom.

The location right by the train station and the breakfast was well done.
