The restaurant staff were split 60/40 in terms of how friendly they were. 60% looked like they didn't want to be at work. One rolled her eyes when we asked to order breakfast. One told us to use our eyes to see what seats were empty when we asked to be seated at a table. I don't think there is much restaurant training.

The location is great next to the zoo. Had some beautiful grassy areas nearby that the kids could run in. The rooms were a good size and clean. The front desk staff and 2 restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views over Zürich, the lake, and the Alps. Rooms are modern and comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent. A peaceful escape close to the city – highly recommended!

The view of the hotel is awesome. Room is clean and well maintained. It is conveniently located within 5 min walking distance from tram No. 6; and this tram takes us directly to the city centre. Staff is super helpful and responsive. The property and decoration are very well maintained (with flowers everywhere), giving guests a joyful feeling.

We loved everything about Sorell Hotel Zürichberg. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The view of Zurich from the property is simply amazing. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

Room was hot, even with the windows open, as air conditioning was weak. The hotel was a bit of a journey to get to, the taxi was around 50 CF from the city centre, which is 5km, which is expensive.

Great terrace and bar area with views overlooking the lake and city. Good menu in the restaurant and food was delicious. Staff excellent. Breakfast was excellent.

The bar service could be a bit more efficient.

The hotel is next to the Zurich Zoo with lots of recreation facilities nearby. We love the view overlooking Zurich that surrounded with mountains. The breakfast was quite nice and the room is in a good size and condition. The location is near the tram line 6 and bus 36. Tram line 6 goes to Zurich central directly every 4 or 6 mins. It is really convenient for us but a 24 hours ticket to hop on and off the tram. You can take the tram from the main train station as well. It is just a nice place to stay with family and friends.

The room make up was inconsistent. I was there for two weeks so was able to see how inconsistent it was from day to day.

The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. An amazing selection of fruits and cheese and yoghurt and bread. The menu was really tasty without feeling like healthy food! The staff worked hard and were attentive despite it being busy. Beautiful view of the city. Staff were excellent t.

We chose this property towards the end of our honeymoon to be conveniently close to the airport. It was even more wonderful than anticipated. The location is quiet and gorgeous.

No air conditioning which was especially tough during summer - kept the door open which attracted bugs (due to location)

Location was incredible, scenic and secluded away from business of the city - however car strongly recommend and parking included. Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was amazing and staff very helpful.
