How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location, next to train station, with multiple connections to Zurich city - one train stop away around 10 minutes journey. Also well organised check in and check out. And all amenities provided.
Property could have the style / furniture updated to have a more cohesive feel.

Verified reviewThe location is fantastic for an early morning flight from Zürich airport. The small balcony accessible through big glass doors, the fan and the water bottle were a nice touch.
I arrived the evening of a very hot day and it was stifling hot on the top floor. It would have been helpful if the windows had been opened a few hours earlier.

Verified reviewIt’s sufficient for staying 1 night in Zürich given the decent price. Also, the location is nice since it is close to the city center.
It’s dirty - the spoon and electric kettle in the room , and the utensils in the kitchen seem to be not cleaned for a long time. You can sense that the floor in the kitchen is dusty. It might be tricky to shower with warm water and to lock the shower room.

Verified reviewI liked the apartment and its location. Within 2-3 minutes you can walk to Oerlikon bahnof (train station & bus stop) . Nearby bahnof you can find multiple Grocery stores and restaurants. The owner is super friendly and helpful. He is always reachable & will respond ASAP. The good thing is that it was near my workplace. So i could easily walk from there.
Nothing to not like.

Verified reviewRoom owner Mr Bisegger was very kind and helpful. Our room was quite a good size and was wonderful for accommodating us during our stay. Kitchen and toilet amenities were kept in order as well and were great to use. The best part was how close the accommodation was to the train station, that was such an advantage especially for travellers depending on public transport. Friendly neighbours during our time as well. A simple nice room to get the job done.
Nothing really other than the floor being squeaky at times, which was barely noticeable after a while compared to the pros of this place.

Verified reviewHonestly it was very good! I really enjoy my stay The bed was very comfy, and cosy. It’s winter and I was perfectly warm. The room had everything, sparkling water, a fan, a teapot, cups, teas, hair dryer, hangers, reading light, extension to charge the phone next to the bed. Drawers to but my stuff, a table w chairs. Clean towels, soft duvet and curtains. Fast wi-fi The shower was very clean, with additional soap. And warm shower w nice pressure. The restroom also clean with toilet paper. I didn’t enter the kitchen but it looked okay. The building easy to find, even at night. Fast access to my room, with the gate code and the keys. The instructions from the owner also very and welcoming! I didn’t meet them but everything in order. They gave me their contact if anything happened. It was the perfect stay after my concert, I had a good sleep, and great warm shower. For the price, for the location, it was what I was looking for. Near cafes and restaurants, the train station, the Hallenstadium. I would recommend staying there for a quick visit to Oerlikon.
It was noisy I could hear the conversation from the room next to me. (They kinda woke me up when they left). Their steps also And also the noise from the street, the cars, the people talking. The trains. And yes the floor it’s squeaky and the door rattled. But it didn’t really bother me. Put some headphones or earplugs and done. It was extremely basic, w no extra design. The light between the doors could enter the room. And a but outdated but fine.

Verified reviewThe room on topfloor had balcony. Rooms are basic but clean. Internet worked good and fast. Near trainstation but no noise from trains. Restos, parking and supermarket nearby. Go for the provided parking. I parked overnight in a parkinglot, cost 3o euro 💸 Landlord came to welcome me and has his nr provided by the entrance.
Bathroom was a little bit on the old side. Very thin walls
