When we arrived, we were understandably tired after several hours of driving and couldn’t immediately find the right place to check in. We went straight to the reception, simply wanting to get to our room and rest a bit before heading to a football game. We weren’t rude, just a bit impatient and focused — certainly not in the mood for small talk. We were quite surprised to receive a comment from the man at reception suggesting we should have behaved “more nicely.” While we understand the importance of being courteous, a bit of understanding and empathy from the reception side would have gone a long way, especially considering we were not rude — just not overly chatty.

The location and view were very good. It was a bit confusing where is reception, etc, then we found right spot. There are like 2 buildings across the road.. Breakfast was very good, staff in restaurant very friendly and welcoming. It was across the road, but it was fine. Room was ok, with perfect view directly from window, but the room wasn’t cozy… but was good. We were lucky, we didn’t have insects in room, but we saw a lot of dead insects on walls and ceiling. The lake is very close 🤣. Very nice area just near water, people can swim and chill. Parking is big and available.

I had to move the furniture to get the air-conditioning to reach the bed....so not a problem in the end

Disappointing that we had to pay daily for parking during our stay as it was on the hotel site itself. An extra 100CHF during our stay for our dog which we found quite expensive! (we stayed 5 nights) Tea making facilities in the room would have been nice, rather than the shared lounge area.

Amazing location on the lake, with a lovely private garden. Very friendly staff, who were happy to help with any requests we had. Free water and drinks in the room refrigerator, and fresh towels every day. Lovely little spa with a sauna and relaxation area.

Actually, nothing except a general observation that food and lodging in Switzerland are exorbitant relative to many other countries.

Very unusual medieval themed hotel with expansive grounds down to Lake Lucerne. Easy parking. Several good restaurants across street. Really enjoyed our stay there. Staff spoke good English.

1.) Could have at least provide transport to and from the train station about 250m away(short but treacherously station is on a elevated ; with luggage it is a challenge to push it up n down.) 2.) breakfast can be improved

It’s a bit pricey, but they don’t hide from you the fact that you are staying in a luxury place.

The place takes care of you well. rooms are great wonderful to have high value coffee accessible.. they give you a mini bar in the room. Rooms are old style lock, and key.. lakefront views are phenomenal in the morning.

The hotel was very comfortable, and right on Lake Lucerne. The receptionist was extremely helpful and went above and beyond in helping us deal with an issue with our train tickets.

Too warm at night which made it difficult to sleep. Personally we feel that the breakfast is over priced.
