The only small issue was that the pillow and mattress were too soft for me, which gave me some back pain. If you have a similar problem, it’s better to let the staff know—they are very helpful and can arrange a different room or solution

The location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk from Interlaken Ost, the main train station. Peter, the owner, was very kind and even gave us free tickets for traveling around Interlaken by public transport, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was cosy and comfortable. The restaurant has a great chef with a very good menu, and we enjoyed the meals very much. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

To be honest there is nothing about this property which i dont like. I think it is design with lot of care and consideration.

The property feels wonderfully new and exceptionally well maintained. Its traditional charm shines through both indoors and outdoors, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. The ample parking and easy access make the stay even more convenient. It’s clear that Peter put a lot of thought and care into establishing this property, and his warm hospitality makes the experience even more special. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Interlaken.

The hotel was super and the food was excellent. However the most significant thing about our visit was the warmest welcome by Peter. This was not just on our arrival but the attention to making our stay very, very enjoyable. All of the staff were so welcoming. Thank you and we would definitely recommend this hotel. I hope we get the opportunity to visit again!

I liked it all and being English the only thing I would appreciate would be more hot variety at breakfast like pouched eggs or fried eggs that are runny and not flipped etc , but I totally respect and appreciate the level of continental breakfast on offer it was great.

No aircon in room and it was 30 degrees, difficult to sleep even with windows open, which also let's the insects in at night.

Everything was amazing

Everything was absolutely amazing during my stay! 🌟 The staff were exceptional – so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The view from the room was breathtaking, a true postcard scene of Interlaken. In comparison to dinner, breakfast wasn't outstanding, but still enough variety and tasty to get through the morning.

This was a really lovely inn in a beautiful spot. There are views of the alps from all around. It's an easy few stops on the bus from Interlaken Ost, with a bus stop pretty close to the inn. The food and staff were just wonderful. The restaurant serves fantastic regional dishes that were very high quality.

The toilet and the shower was really, really dark. The receptionist was pretty condescending, talking as if we were too stupid to understand basic sentence, I do understand that some people need to be told multiple times ( I was a receptionist for 2 years) but he should really work on his face card, maybe if I was a man with Maserati I would have gotten different treatment. We did order takeout and couldn’t consume it in the room. I knew cooking and smoking was prohibited, but eating in the room we paid for is just ridiculous. We were told to eat it outside in the drizzle of rain. I have never came across such thing.

It’s really beautiful place to stay. It was clean and really close to everything we needed. The breakfast was tasty. Few options, but the taste was really good. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

There is road between the hotel and the lake which was not visible /understandable in the pictures. Please be aware of it.

The food was absolutely amazing, the best on my trip. The location outside Interlaken was lovely as it made the stay quieter. If I ever return to the area again I would definitely stay at Hotel Restaurant Burgseeli.
