How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Pillow was old and it needs to be changed, sleeping was worse than it could be. Cleaning not so often as I expected, especially in bathroom. If you implement privacy curtain it would be an awesome improvement
According to all hostels in Zurich, I suppose this one is the best. Bathroom and restroom are separate it’s comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful

The breakfast buffet was horribly crowded and the selection was quite poor, didn’t even bother attempting it on the second morning and went out for breakfast instead. Same with the communal kitchen, it is a great concept but unfortunately large families took over the space cooking elaborate meals from scratch, meaning no one else could get in the kitchen to boil the kettle or pop something in the microwave. I gave up queuing for the kitchen each night and ended up paying at the bar for hot drinks and snacks.
Good location with excellent transport links. Clean rooms, good local amenities and onsite parking. Very reasonably priced for Zürich. If you are looking for a hotel that you just crash in for the night then great but if you want a bit of comfort then it’s not for you.

Great ratio of price and location, very friendly staff (they were able to provide us with a room 8 hours earlier upon our arrival), comfy and clean rooms, very good location right next to S4 tran line to the city center, grocery store nearby, parking in the building.

On my second day, too many cook in the kitchen. Not easy to have time to wash my water bottle and cook water.
Breakfast is good. Location of the hotel is not far from Menagg station.

We have to pay 6 CHF per piece to use the luggage room to store the luggage if need be . Which was not mentioned on th website. After emailing then and requesting for an early checking, when the room was available we were not given a room. Instead were told to pay 20 CHF if we need a room that was available for early check in. We reached the hotel by 12 noon ( just 2 hrs) early. No coffee or tea kettle avaliable in the room as well. So guys be prepared to pay for every little service u want.
It's just around the train station so it's very convenient to go around places. But little things that I would want you all to know before booking.

Location easy to travel into Zurich but not much in the area to do. A little pricey, but understand as Zurich is very expensive.
The facilities were great for a family trip on a budget.

Accommodation is convenient but place surrounded by concrete, not much going on in the area.
Room was clean and spacious, kids loved bunk bed ;) breakfast was also good and we appreciated the option of early check in plus parking space. Train station is near by to get to the centre, playground outside for the kids and local shop if you need anything.

Our room was very hot but they gave us a fan to Help cool us down. We didn’t realise it was a hostel type setup with communal kitchen etc but it was fine, good quality!

Location is a bit far from town. Not enough options for better / finer dining nearby. Not everyone is satisfied with "pizza" or snacks, a proper restaurant might be a good idea. We walked to a place to have a good meal, but that was the only option and not nearby.
Good value for money. Washing machines service was very useful and reasonably priced. Staff was helpful. Room is smartly organized to accomodate 4 persons in a limited space. Available power sockets for charging, in the room and around the reception area. Vending machines had even local adaptors for appliances, reasonably priced. It feels like someone put some thought into making our stay comfortable.

Kitchen area was good but very busy, probably need another sink. No cheap breakfast option €16.90 for a breakfast isn't great imo.
Great that the beds were comfy and lots of charging points. Only 9 minutes in the train from Zurich HB and they were very frequent, every 10 mins. Friendly staff.

The bathroom was a bit cramped and dirty, but still reasonably usable.
I was just looking for a quick easy place to crash for a night and that's what I got. I stayed in a shared room with 5 other people. Everyone kept to themselves more or less, but they were all relatively nice.

Breakfast atmosphere was too much like a train station. Lots of traffic, non-working coffee machine, people milling around, lines for food and coffee at the check-in desk!
