    1. Accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed. I loved that we had the option of cooking breakfast and dinner ourselves instead of eating out (since it can get rather expensive), and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the seasonings we could possibly need. 2. View outside the chalet was incredible! You get to see snow-capped mountains every day the moment you look out the window (provided the skies are clear, of course). 3. Host was kind and friendly :) she even gave us a lift to the train station when we checked out. 4. Value for money.

    1. The chalet is a 10-min UPHILL CLIMB from Grindelwald Terminal, and some parts of the slope are incredibly steep. Not the most convenient if you don't have a car, especially if you're travelling with children or elderly who have difficulty walking... Tip for anyone planning to stay here: instead of attempting the uphill climb every day, take the train/bus to Grindelwald station and take bus 122 for 3 stops to Grindelwald, Tuftback. From there, it's a 6-min downhill walk to the accommodation. The path still gets a bit steep at times, though, so do watch your step. 2. Beds were a bit creaky, and showerhead was a bit wonky. Nothing deal-breaking, though!

Amazing location 5min walk to the cable lift. It would be great to have a dishwasher. You have to add 30CHF for city tax which is paid by cash to the owner. In the ground apartment there is a noisy boiler. The view is stunning.

Very well equipped ground floor modernised apartment in a charming old traditional chalet, with uninterrupted view of the Jungfrau. Short walk from Grindelwald Terminal and Grund with a small Co-op and a few restaurants, the centre of Grindelwald is just over 1km but well connected by buses. The owners picked us up late night from station when it was snowing heavily, waited up to show us everything in the accommodation, which had pretty much all the essential you’d need for self catering. We know the region very well having been coming every year for nearly 30 years, so didn’t need much local information, but I’m sure they’d be very happy to help if anyone needed. Chocolate and Prosecco with a little Christmas decoration made it really festive too. Overall a really lovely place to stay, although we’ve only just spend the Christmas ski holiday there, but we can see that it must be lovely all year around for hiking or simply just relaxing.

The kitchen was well equipped, even had a fondue set. Mattress, pillows and the quilt were super comfortable. The views were gorgeous. Host was able to pick us up and send us back to the train station on check in/out day. Host was also responsive.

Super dark if we return after sundown. The walk would either be uphill or downhill depending on which station you get off from (Grindelwald terminal or Grindelwald station). Hence not recommended for elderly or people with bad knees.

It was a very pleasant stay in Chalet Aiiny! The hospitable host provided pick-up & drop off service when we checked in/out. The place is very spacious, it has a big living room area, a spacious bathroom and a nice kitchen that you can prepare your own meal. The front view is breathtaking, it faces Eiger directly and you can sit out the front yard to enjoy the view without disturbing. Host stays upstairs and has their own entrance so you won’t disturb each other.

Everything was amazing. The host was nice and kind - picked us up at the station in the middle of the night. And drop us off early in the morning. The chalet is super clean, and comfortable. - with fully-equipped kitchen. And the view -ohh the view was spectacular. This place is highly recommended.

The warm welcome from the host (picking us up from the station and also dropping us off on check out). The house is nice and clean with a full kitchen. The outdoor seating and the Eiger view is just something you cant get over with.
