Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaOn Saturday, the elevator stopped working and so it was a bit of an inconvenience taking the stairs up to the fourth floor. Someone was to come and repair on Monday, but we had to check out by then and carry our luggage down. We saw a few bugs on the floor, which we believe came from the bathroom drainage hole due to the moisture or escaped through the window between the A/C. The walls/ceilings are on the thinner side, as you can sometimes hear people outside your room and above you, although we were located closest to the stairs/elevator.
We stayed on July 11th to July 14th 2025 and it was $521 after tax for three nights (with a third party discount from Booking.com), which was cheaper than most hotels at the time of booking. We called their facility to inquire about their utilities and they always picked up the phone, patiently answering questions. They were also very responsive on Booking.com's messaging system. The two double beds looked clean, no stains on the sheets or pillows. The TV was working fine and we liked that we could watch Netflix! The wi-fi was fast. The washroom looked recently renovated. We had a mini fridge. There was an A/C in the room which you can adjust. Our room remained cool despite the hot weather outside. They also let us borrow their water boiler upon request. The location was about a 5 minute walk from the Sherbrooke Station, connecting the orange line. It is also one stop away from Berri-UQAM, which connects all four lines of Montreal's metro. They allowed us to leave our luggage there after check-out at no cost. The younger male receptionist can speak both English and French. The $200 deposit was held on the day of check in and immediately returned/dismissed upon check out. We are satisfied with our stay.

BelgiumI have read a lot of bad reviews on this hotel but it’s a one star hotel and it was exactly what I expected. The room was small and the facilities kind of basic but it was clean and you get what you pay for.

CanadaOld hotel with old and minimum facilities. The Lift was only for 2 persons, and feel not safe. the Lock of the room was broken. The washroom or toilet is too small.
Price and location of the hotel are OK. The price is the cheapest one, meanwhile the location is nearby down town.

UkraineCarton walls - it seems there's no isolation at all. We heard TV from the upper room, sex sounds from the room next to us and giggling (with the weed smell) from the balcony. Hard to fell asleep at all. Entry policy - it seems there's no policy at all, because people were running around the hallway all night long, shouting, loudly shout the doors, arguing with staff. And all these were happening after 11pm. Madness... (Not) Clean - dirty floor, especially in the bathroom, and a huge spiderweb in the shower.
Convinient location - 5 min walk to the international bus terminal, 5 min walk to the metro station, walkable to the historical downtown. Helpful staff - we arrived to Montrea from New Yorkl around 5am and they allowed us to make early check in (of course not for free). Also they gave us hot water in thermos when we asked and accepted our US dollars until we exchange for Canadian dollar later.

United StatesSee above.
They were extremely flexible. We arrived late due to traffic and long wait times at the US-Canadian border. The host was extremely accommodating even though we arrive shortly after 9 pm. We found the apartment cramped and very small, especially the bathroom. But is was quiet, very centrally located, and very clean. In hindsight, we would have wished for more "luxury" given how expensive it was But in all fairness, we booked very late, and it was a long holiday weekend. We found very little else for the money. If you don't mind paying what is probably a fair market price, and are seeking basic accommodation, this is a good place. But it is nothing to write home about.

United Stateswell to begin, the entrance was a hazard, loose pavers, the room was not like in the pictures, I can send you pics to validate my point, the room was hot, had to turn the window unit on, this took more than an hour to cool the room. the bathroom had a sewer smell, and the shower had no pressure, it was hard to shower when there's barely water coming out of it. The toilet seat was broken. we told the staff about it but nothing was done. I wouldnt want anyone else to experience this.

CanadaListen, it was honestly completely fine, and amazing for the price, but certainly not luxurious. A nice bed that wasn't the cushiest. A bit of a tight squeeze in the bathroom. A few minutes for the shower to get hot up on the 5th floor. No real issues, just don't get too excited.
Amazing location and value, just a few minutes from Sherbrooke station and some amazing neighborhoods. Smooth, curt and easy check in and out. Clean room, bathroom, bedding and towels. Soap and shampoo. Mini fridge.
