Good first time stay. Dinner and lunch many times in the past. The room was very nice - bad location - traffic noise was not good.

The people at the property were simply great. Very warm and helpful and made the experience at the Turtle Inn exceptional. Breakfast was great and brought to our room each day. We just wanted to relax to start our vacation and the Turtle Inn delivered!

Only downside is unlike other places in Placencia it isn’t a traditional sandy beach

beautiful resort with everything you need for a relaxing break. our cabin was spacious and comfy, gorgeous balinese decoration. the sea is 1 minute away. the pizza restaurant is fantastic and there are 3 other restaurants as well. we ate in every one. the staff are very helpful and friendly - we recommend the turtle inn to everyone

maybe the beach bar being open a bit later to around 9pm? apart from that everything was amazing, thank you

The views are amazing. The complementary breakfast is good and filling. Would recommend.

Its a great place. The only thing I would suggest is the units to have more lighting at night. It's a little dark in side at night.

The property was beautiful and the staff really went above and beyond in all areas. The restaurant was delicious, the pool/beach area was maintained spectacularly. We LOVED everything about our visit to the Turtle Inn!

The hotel offers a lot of amenities, 2 pools, 3 very good restaurants, a great spa with amazing massages and plenty of activities around. Staff is very professional and attentive and rooms are huge and well decorated.

There are a few pain points here, the major one unfortunately is not the hotel’s fault: the location. This hotel is stuck between a very noisy road (do not expect to sleep after 6am, nor to rest at the pool without the sound of traffic) and a beach which waters are far from pristine (be ready for seaweed, jellyfish and stingrays). Then there are a few things that could be improved (yet minor, and did not affect our stay that much): - dogs wandering around at the beach and restaurant barking & asking for food should not be there. - same as Blancaneaux, we would have liked a broader soft drinks menu with freshly mixed fruits and vegetables juices, and better tea and coffee (both very poor). - do not say you are eco friendly when there is A/C and minibar (with aluminium cans inside) in rooms, and that towels are replaced twice a day though they are not on the floor (as the sign recommends to do when you want them changed).

Every thing was beautifully curated yet felt very relaxed. Coppola wines were surprisingly good value

The beach has been washed away. It is no way near comparable to Tulum or even Hopkins. The whole area is very polluted unless it is in front of a resort where the sand is combed daily. Very sad to see so much rubbish

Our 3-night stay at Turtle Inn Hotel in Placencia, Belize, left us with mixed feelings. The hotel exudes a small and cozy Indonesian Bali-inspired ambiance, which adds a unique charm to the place. The rooms, while spacious and well-decorated, lack practicality, with only nightstand lights near the beds, resulting in rooms that feel quite dim. Unfortunately, none of the light switches seemed to be functional during our stay. One notable feature was the presence of netted windows that could be opened for airflow and a refreshing breeze. However, this setup, while creating a natural atmosphere, could compromise privacy, making some guests uncomfortable. Our suite room was a letdown due to the absence of air conditioning. Instead, we had to rely on a ceiling fan, which wasn't sufficient in the hot and humid climate of Belize. We were told that rooms with AC units were available, but only in the back of the hotel, not in the waterfront rooms. This lack of climate control and the use of nets instead of traditional windows made our room less comfortable. The hotel's restaurant offered decent food, and we appreciated the occasional chef nights with Balinese cuisine. The location was convenient, with a short drive to the airport and easy access to Placencia Road's restaurants and nightlife. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby Orange Gallery for local crafts and gifts.

Upon arrival, we experienced a slow and unassisted check-in process, though the complimentary welcome drinks were a nice touch. However, it was disappointing that the hotel didn't offer any recommendations or information about activities during our stay, leaving us to figure out our plans independently. Prior to our visit, we had emailed the hotel to indicate our 24th anniversary celebration, but received no response or suggestions for special packages to enhance our stay. This lack of attention to detail and personalized guest experiences was disappointing. Also the property had only one tiny pool.

Landscaping is gorgeous. Villas are so neat and furnished beautifully. Love how it’s a small resort, so not a lot of walking to restaurants, pools, beach, etc. Very kind staff.

We traveled in august and the rooms were beyond hot and muggy. The small air conditioner above the bed (that turn down service starts at night) barely cools you down at night, and we didn’t sleep well for 6 nights straight due to being so uncomfortable, sticky, and hot. Our only complaint, but kind of a big one. Who wants to be miserable at night and unable to sleep on vacation?! Also, the shell phone… kinda sketchy that the front desk staff can listen in at any time to your room without you knowing. Not just when you buzz them. Looks cool and neat idea, but a privacy issue, in my opinion.

Very professionally run , very relaxing and charming. Staff very friendly and helpful. We tried 3 different dining options and they were all excellent , as was lunch beachside . Poolside cottage with sea view just spot on.
