The apartment is very well equipped - it even has a washing machine and a dryer. It is located in a very quiet area in Crooked Tree, close to the lagoon. The house is well maintained and the host was very kind and helpful.

Nice and large with washer and dryer and full kitchen that even had coffee and milk and fresh bananas. Good for birds and close to boat rides.

I really appreciate the host, Lisa is one of the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met. She helped me rent a car, suggested interesting places to visit, and organized dinner after the late arrival in Belize (the plane was late). Her mother prepared homemade bread to welcome. I have to admire that it was very easy to communicate with Lisa, who responded very quickly to my messages. Thank you Lisa for everything! The house itself was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well organized, and there was also a washing machine and a dryer. There was washing and dishwashing liquid available for use, and soap and towels in the bathroom. There was no problem with hot water. There were window screens, without them it would have been impossible to open the windows. Most of the lighting in the house were good.

The location isn't the best, it's far from everything and the roads (which of course isn't Lisa's fault) are really bad in the area. But on the other hand, it can be an advantage if you want to be away from civilization. The door locks were difficult to operate, there were four locks and the keys were not marked, so each time it was a problem to find the right key for the right lock. And if you're being attacked by mosquitoes, you want to get inside as quickly as possible, not have to guess which key fits which lock, ha ha. The second thing is air conditioning. There are air conditioners in the bedrooms and they work very well. But with such temperatures and humidity, air conditioning would also be useful in the dining room. The last suggestion to make your stay easier would be a simple roof over your car to keep it in the shade.

Royal Properties are not at the location that the offline "MapsMe" shows, however this was quickly resolved via a call with the very friendly and helpful owner

Hard to find.

Location was near areas accessible for birding. We really appreciate Lisa's telling us about the birding trails nearby, and her use of the neighbor as an on-site contact for check-in because she wasn't available.

Some uncertainty about finding the property, especially because we did not have capability to make a cell phone call to hone in property's location. Suggest telling future guests use signs for "Birds eye view lodge" to guide them to the house.

The house was spacious with two separate bedrooms, a large living room with a couch and love seat, TV and a dining room table set for four. The kitchen had all of the amenities including a washer and dryer. But the best was an orange male iguana in the backyard. The lagoon and various restaurants and Kenn's market are within walking distance. Definitely off the beaten path for those that like the sounds of birds and an occasional howler monkey!

Lisa was so helpful taking us to buy food when we arrived and arranging for Michael to be our lagoon and birding guide and eventually transferring us to the airport at the end of our stay. It could not have been a better experience!

There was nothing not to like!
