I liked the location, the hotel, the people, and the beach.

I didn't like the gate which restricted access to the property so you had to rely on them to pick you up but they almost never did. You had to walk and it was a little bit of a long walk. At night there was way too many mosquitos on the path which was really frustrating. Also dinner was at like 3pm and all the restaurants closed at 5pm so you either had to go to bed really early, starve, or go to the local shitmart and get some chips before they closed.

Charming experience, a lovely idea for a property on the water. Romantic and cozy, lovely location, still a work in progress in some areas but great potential and a place where one can relax and enjoy the nature. Lovely host, most staff speak some English.

Shared bathroom is not great. The taxi pick up and drop off from the boat (we came from Chetumal) is rather expensive (USD50 each way). Lastly, there will some loud music from 'next door' club a mile or so down the beach (at night).

Very unique experience for the price, it is a very private place with a private beachfront access.

We had a VERY hard time finding our way onto the property there should be a better description on how to get there we didn't have an address given or any instructions in any of the emails sent and had to pull over twice to ask locals it was a very frusterating process and took us almost 45 minutes to figure out. It should also be noted that you can not bring the golf cart in and out to the location you have to park it at the end of a dirt road and walk, The only road to get to the property was considered private property and we were told we would be trespassing if we brought the golf cart through but it was the only way to get to the location. We found that was very inconvenient to carry all of our bags up a dirt path in the heat. We also understand that it is off grid but were told right away to be mindful of running electricity (air conditioning) or a loud generator would kick in and wake everyone up in the middle of the night so we were nervous to run the air condition and were both VERY hot all night because of that. As paying customers it should be already established and figured out so that you can fully use the facilites before you open them up to the public it didn't seem ready to be staying in. The wifi didn't work in the cabins and we couldn't get it to work at night in the main facility.
