From the warm welcome at check-in to the friendly faces throughout my stay at Almond Beach was truly exceptional. The two gentlemen at the front desk went above and beyond, making me feel valued and at home. Despite some disappointing past experiences touring in my own country as a local, here I was treated like a guest who truly mattered. The property, the service, and the atmosphere were all perfect, I had previously booked for one night and went ahead and extended my stay. I will definitely be returning! And highly recommend!

We loved the beautiful accommodations and all the fun things to do at the resort. Swimming off the pier was fun as well as the paddle boards and swimming pool. The ease of find food at the restaurant and pizza was great! Thank you for a relaxing visit!

Because we asked for 2 separate beds, 2 of us were placed in 2 overly spacious rooms - one with queen and one with king bed. A single room with 2 beds may not be an option. Very disappointed that windows designed to open were sealed shut. At night, open, screened windows would have been a bonus. The concierge arranged for us to go snorkeling. The condition of the reef we visited was depressing with little marine life. The boat was flawed and potentially dangerous with rusted screws on the ladder that were hard to avoid stepping on with bare feet when using the ladder. No meals included. Continental breakfast would be nice for the price.

Breakfast and dinner at The Paddle were very good and in an open air space. When one vegetarian meal was disappointing the wait staff provided an alternative without question. We liked drinks with plantain chips and Belizean salsa on the dock's Ceviche. Enjoyed the view from our balcony of the sea, pool, palms and attractive, muted lights at night.

Loved the location, our room (we had a beachfront cottage) and the beach. It was a bonus that you could swim right in front of the resort and have breakfast on site. The wharf bar was awesome.

They did not clean the seaweed at the beach well enough until the very end. The beach looked very nice and the water was then cleaner near the end of the 8 day trip.

I thought the Paddlehouse Restaurant was very good. Service was excellent by Richard and Kaylee and others. The options on the menus were very good. Lots of staff with happy faces. Happy people.

Welcoming services from concierge before arrival to hotel were poor. They resulted in me paying 392USD = 579 CAD for airport transfer due to me being a solo traveler. Additionally, I had 3 hours to make the payment decision during working hours, not giving me time to search for alternative options.

There is no ATM located near the property. Come with cash. We walked two miles into town to the only ATM in Hopkins and it wasn’t working! 😬

There are many lounge chairs for sunbathing. Nice dock to jump off of into the water with stairs. Adjacent to the Happy Go Luckie tour company and some really nice restaurants. There is also an amazing strangler fig on property by the pool bar. There are also several concrete water basins complete with hibiscus flowers for rinsing sand off of your feet located at convenient spots throughout the property.

Our only issue was the hot tub, and the showers were not hot.

Beautiful facility and room! The beach amenities and vibe were the best compared to the other nearby resorts. The people who work there go out of their way to provide an upscale experience and check in with you often. The bars were very social and fun to hang out at after a day of activities.

For being on the main land location was nice, close to restaurants and food stores. We rented a car to get around since airport is about 2 hrs away. House was beautiful, it was a joy to stay there.

Had to wait a long while for the welcome drink. Took my elderly parents and had to ask to serve us as they wanted to go to their room to rest after 2.5 hours of travelling.

Very comfortable and family oriented. I enjoyed my time.

It needs more hooks to hang things and it needs a foot bath on the porch. On our last day we were gone all day but we needed housekeeping bad, we had no towels and the floor was sandy, no cups, no glasses left. We did not know we had to leave our door unlocked for housekeeping so we did not get any... left us feeling a bit gross! Also, too far away from the Hopkins area.

The property is beautiful and the dock is fun.

Main restaurant good, hotel needs somewhere though that meals/snacks can be obtained out of strict breakfast/lunch/dinner hours. No gift shop. Sand Flies.

The welcome drink had a lot of Alcohol, so depends on the person i guess. Would have liked a better view of the ocean, but i got a bottom floor suite. AC was ok, but it definitely struggled. Sadly, I discovered the pool had lights the next morning, so I couldn't use them. :(

Right on the beach, room came with a private pool that has underwater lights. Nice paved walkway, and a great hammock outside. Supper was good and the staff was gracious. Had a +18 pool with a bar and hot tub if the sun just isn't doing it for you. They had a bar with netting that would hold you up above the water. Very neat. A good assortment of nearby food for breakfast as well.

Its not the property fault but the seaweed was disgusting. We could not get in the water. Also the internet was going in and out.

The rooms were excellent. The view is gorgeous. Love the proximity to town life.

The food in the restaurant was OK but you can walk to at least three great restaurants from the resort. People walk from resort to resort all the time. It was the low season and the resort wasn't crowded. Other people just walked in and stayed there all day and night. The biggest downside, however, which isn't the resort's fault but more mother nature, is that beach tends to be full of seaweed/seagrass. These aren't the blue waters of Belize that you see in photos when you look at the islands. If you are looking for a place to wade in from the beach, this isn't it. Jumping off the dock, however, is fun!

This resort is part of a threesome of resorts, all under the Jaguar resort umbrella. There are multiple bars and two pools that you can use. The view from the dock is incredible and just chilling out there is all you need for a relaxing vacation! The tours out of the resort were great. My family had a great time fishing. Also, Victor was a fabulous tour guide! Don't miss cave tubing and the inland blue hole. Hopkins is a very friendly village with a diverse community. There are a lot of interesting, small restaurants and shops, which are open at random times. Use trip advisor to figure out when different places are open. You can drive into the village and park easily, rent a golf cart, or use the resort bikes to get around.

The staff make this place. My family and I traveled here last year and most of the staff remembered us before we reminded them we had been there before. The restaurant is arguablly the best in town.
