Central location, clean, friendly staff - many things in walking distance (such as the bus terminal) AND it is possible to walk even in the night if you are a bit cautious

The room was a bit of a letdown, but it's still acceptable considering the building is a historic one.

The hotel is in a very strategic location, right next to the train station where I took the Vale do Rio Doce train to Pedro Nolasco. That’s why I chose to book this hotel—because of its convenient location.

This area of town is generally very noisy in the evening and anybody who is sensitive to this bring earplugs or consider other options for lodging.

The hotel is an "old lady" which can be seen and experienced in every corner. However, it was clean and the staff a 10.

Very, very friendly and supporting staff that made our stay very nice. The hotel is clean and safe. The area is downton with all its pros & cons and the Hotel is well located within this area. Nice breakfast and special breakfast room, we enjoyed it very much.

The windows did not block noise properly. Without ear plugs I would not have slept. The front door shut at 22hr, after which there were three numbers you could call to get let in -- very intimidating for someone whose Portuguese isn't native.

The neighborhood didn't feel safe when we arrived on Thursday night. We needed to uber everywhere because we couldn't walk around once the sun set. The photo of the building is misleading, but the facilities inside are fine.

The hotel was centrally located, with easy access to a parking garage on the same block. The breakfast was fine. The beds were also fine. The bathroom was clean.

At the beginning, I experienced problems with access to the Internet in my room, after several calls to the reception, nothing changed, in the end, contacting Booking support helped solve the problem and they changed my room. Breakfast was the same all week but overall it was ok for the money.

The shower was malfunctioning and no heated water. The staff offered to change rooms but we had no time to do it as we were always wishing in a 2-night stay. Very noisy at night because it's a Main Street with two bars across playing very loud live music. But we would up enjoying the show from the room.

A historic building with a breakfast hall that just needs to be seen to be believed. The staff was super nice and very helpful. Elevator. Very good breakfast.

The rooms are VERY old and you can hear every single noise coming from the street. There’s a lot of bars so you won’t be having any sleep.

We are really not fussy sleepers but the street noise from a cacophony of very loud bars, continual heavy traffic and late night activity made sleeping impossible.. there are no closed windows just metal vents so the street is really happening in your room….bring earplugs!!!

The building has some kooky ‘old-school’ charm. It was clean.

Stayed two weeks in this hotel. The location is very noisy and the hotel building needs renovation throughout including double glazing windows. Breakfast is the same every morning.

Very noisy , noise from street you can not avoid but staff making incredible noise yelling and shoufing every morning from 6am onwards Impossible to open window for fresh air but even with window closed noise level very disturbing
