Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Trinidad and TobagoThe parking at the hotel was expensive but this is down to the location. I really couldn´t find another point to state regarding improvements.
The breakfast was fantastic. The location offers options for shoppers, eaters, those interested in history. The Central district is in walking distance, you have taxis nearby, close access to the metro and buses. The neighbourhood is ideal for tourists.

China1. I was staying on the 4th floor and the room was extremely noisy … traffic never stops outside so it was almost impossible to sleep. 2. The toilet was very weird and didn’t flush properly. 3. Staff barely speaks English. 4. The towels are very old.
The location is very central although in São Paulo is more of disadvantage than an advantage. The room is simple but spacious. The breakfast is homemade and really good. Although at 6 am the staff is still preparing food, everything is ready around 6:30.

SpainAs amazing as the hotel is, the best thing about it is definitely the staff. They were all so so helpful and kind - I had my phone stolen on the street (watch out for this in Brazil!) and they went out of their way to find which tourist police station was open, let me use their phone to make calls and followed up the following days. The accommodation itself is also great - the hotel is modern, rooms are large, comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is one of the best hotel buffets I’ve ever had (coming from someone who’s been to 44 countries). The location is also unbeatable. Definitely my recommended stay in São Paulo: as much as the rooms are great, it’s the staff that made the difference (apologies for not taking note of their names). Thanks for everything and looking forward to staying again sometime soon!
