The swimming pool has not been well maintained — would have been nice to use on the hot afternoons but we didn’t feel it was clean enough to use.

Large spacious room with a nice view of the mountain. Very close to town, and neighborhood grocery stores which was great because our room had a kitchenette. Ted the onsite manager was available and attentive.

Walking up the steep Slave road from the harbor. Better to spend the $10 for a taxi!

Excellent communication from host, before, during and after my stay with swift responses to any questions. Check in was allowed early and was a very easy and friendly business. The location is in town, up a steep cobbled road from the harbor, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Restaurants are not very close, but there is an excellent bakery and a great supermarket at the top of the road. The apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, although it was two beds pushed together, not a king mattress but that was fine for me. The A/C and wifi both worked excellently and the shower had good pressure and there were lots of towels, including a beach towel, and toiletries. Facilities in the kitchen were minimal, with a fridge, microwave and coffee pot, but no stove, oven or, pots or pans.

Beware Sunday evenings when most shops and restaurants close!

We got a bungalow as it provided separate bedrooms, and it was very spacious! Good cooking facilities and shop nearby. Easy to walk elsewhere on the island. Pool was nice to sit around. Staff were very helpful to rearrange our stay after a boat delay

A bit of a walk to the dive shop/waterfront, which we didn't mind, but some might want to be closer.

Very cute complex. Pleasant outlook from the room to the pool. Nice décor/feel. Good sized room. Fantastic owner (very accommodating, helpful and responsive) and manager. Enough kitchen supplies to cook. Laundry onsite. Well maintained grounds. Very close to a mini market and bakery. Great value for money.

Not that I was planning to use the kitchenette area but if you have one, maintain it properly.. lots of loose electric cables hanging everywhere and a TV that didn't work

When the renovations are completed, I hope they see fit to put a toaster/toaster oven in the rooms. The addition of a comfortable reading chair would be welcome.

Talk of the Town gives good value for the cost. The kitchenette, pool and laundry on sight were all very beneficial to the stay. It is centrally located on the island. 3Km from the Quill or Boven trail heads or the harbour and dive shop and less than 10 min walk from the air port.

There was no electric kettle in the kitchen but when I asked about it, I could lend one from the owner so this was great.

While the location and staff were great, the room could have been cleaner. The rule against flushing toilet paper was unusual and a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, the ironing board lacked a cover, and the sheets had visible stains, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the hot water in the shower did not work.

The location was excellent, adequate room space and well-equipped with all the essentials. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and even arranged an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated.

Air condition worked just in one room. Design of the place is not good at all - all rooms face central - but small - place so if you have neighbours they are sitting outside practically at your doorstep and you hear everything.

Good location if you walk to both sides of the island and do not hesitate to walk at all. Room is spacious. Kitchenette reasonably equippped.

The location is not ideal, the room felt sterile and there was almost no contact with the owners. The pool didn’t look very well maintained. The pictures look much better than reality.

This is one of the less expensive options in Statia and the communication through the booking app was perfect.
