Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo shower door to keep water in but it was manageable with towels and the squeegee provided.
Belnem House is a great property with helpful and kind staff. That is what really made our stay wonderful. We stayed for nine nights in July 2025 in their penthouse level two bedroom apartment. The unit is well kept with comfortable beds and great kitchen. We did quite a bit of cooking which was nice. The pool is amazing. Location is fantastic. Definitely staying here again if we come back to Bonaire.

CanadaWe stayed in a ground floor Studio suite which had all the essentials including a functional kitchenette with a small fridge, two burner stove top, pots, etc. These suites are very compact with limited room to store the luggage. I always appreciate a resort that has built in USB plug in by the bed - either on the electrical outlet or on a lamp. We all travel with a phone so it’s nice to make it easy to recharge. I would have liked to see fitted sheets on the bed. The bottom sheet was always sliding out from under the mattress each night.
The rooms, the pool area and everywhere were immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Belnem house is located close to the airport but also close to grocery stores and across the street from the ocean. There were many snorkel/scuba diving sites all within a few minutes of the resort. We rented a truck (Renault Oroch) from the resort which is essential when visiting the island. The rate for renting a truck was very reasonable and it worked flawlessly (had great air conditioning too). The air conditioning in the room would great as well. I also found the mattress very comfortable.

United StatesThe AC units are in the bedrooms only. We opened the door and balcony door to let the air in because it’s too hot in the apartment, thus the mosquito got us good.
Clean and modern. Love the laundry in the apartment for the 2 bedrooms.

United StatesThe shower rooms have a design flaw that allows water to flow into the bedroom. That means it's wet on the floor quite often unless you use one of your towels to mop it up. Since they only change towels every 4 days, that makes this inconvenient. Someone needs to come up with a solution - at least provide extra floor towels for the excess water flowing into the bedroom.
The staff is top notch and they really make the stay here worthwhile. They go above and beyond to make your stay as wonderful as possible. For those diving, they have a decent sized rinse tank and a good place to hang gear. The studio rooms are adequate for a few days stay. The location is very convenient. Close to the airport but not really any noise from planes.

The entire staff was friendly and helped me with the island map, which was of great help. Are room was cute n cozy with all the supplies you need. The swimming pool was great with a self-serve bar. 2 beaches within walking distance. If you like to snorkle, Batchelor beach and tae amo (the island calls it a different name) is like swimming in a fish tank. we did rent a truck from the belhem house resort because it was very hot to walk long distances. I highly recommend renting from them. Otherwise, you miss out on a lot, and it's easier to do it on your own at your leisure instead of the island tours. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance. One is across the street from Batchelor beach. If you plan on snorkling from dive sites instead of the few beaches I would recommend booking an excursion to learn the ends and outs of entering and existing the water and how to walk across the rock to enter the water. I an excursion with the watersport center not far from belham House.

ArubaMy first impression when I entered the premises was OMG this place is really beautiful! When I entered the reception, the service was super professional with very friendly and helpful staff. I asked in advance for an early check-in, and they definitely made my request possible which I appreciated. The premises and room were super clean. I completely fell in love with the room and its location around the pool area. I love that even though the room doors are full glass (which I loved) the privacy was still there. Good location and very close to the airport. I will definitely return to Belnem House Bonaire, and I will 100% recommend this place to others.

CuraçaoThe sun penetration inside the units. There isn’t any AC in the apartments, only bedrooms. The way the sun penetrates the units at certain times of the day makes sitting inside uncomfortable unless you have both AC’s on in the bedrooms and leave the doors open. I did go for work and spent a lot of time working from the location. I can also imagine that the studios, because of there location, might not have that much issues with the glare of the sun
1. Location!!! So close to so many things. Bonaire is a small island so everything is relatively close by. Belnem is close to the airport, in less than 10 minutes you’re at the 3 major supermarkets, small town is less than 10 minutes away. Really great! 2. Staff!! Especially Jonathan. Super friendly and helpful. 3. Internet!! For my work incredibly important 4. Full kitchen in apartments

Belnem House Bonaire had just opened for guests when we booked an 11 day stay for our mother & aunt. The location is close to the airport (without the noise), and just across the street from a variety of beach clubs (which the ladies preferred) and some small open beach patches for swimming and enjoying the sunsets (no sunbeds, no cocktails, though). We opted for a spacious poolside apartment on the ground floor: two bedrooms with AC, a nice bathroom, a huge open (fully equipped) fanned kitchen/living area - and most importantly, a nice big terrace with a large table to enjoy the pool view from breakfast until late in the evening (with a nice rosé from the open bar at the pool). The service staff was very helpful and friendly - the rooms are changed every four days (minimum, more like every three days during our ladies' stay). And Belnem House proved to be independent of Bonaire's power grid, as solar and house batteries provided power even when Bonaire`s power went off after some stormy hours (we booked in early November, off-season can be like that). A washing machine in the apartment, Wifi, the mentioned AC and ceiling fans, the fully equipped kitchen, the huge fridge/freezer and the beautiful and very modern interior left nothing to be desired! Just check the website – you even can rent your car to get around the island, if you ever want to leave the pool!

United KingdomThe studios back on to the main road, although the sound proofing is pretty good. It was fine for a solo traveler but may be awkward for friends sharing as the shower is open to the bedroom with no privacy.

United StatesNothing!
The apartment had everything we needed and more. They are beautifully designed and everything from furniture to amenities is high-quality. The beds were probably the best we slept in for a long time! The opportunity to rent cars and smaller pickup trucks was super convenient and we used it several days during our stay. Also the cars are new and perfect for the island! Additionally, the staff was outstanding! Everyone was incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgeable about everything. We needed for our trip - including peaches, restaurants, shops, etc. We will definitely come back!
