The hotel should have advised us in advance that they are closed for dinner on Sunday and Monday. Normally not an issue except when it was pouring with rain and going out was not advisable. The only other strange thing was using the black market currency rate when paying in Bols that they converted from US $.It then made it expensive. You would want to be located on top floor to avoid noise from upper floors.

All the reception staff were excellent. Particularly Bernados.The setting was lovely and the hotel decor made it a hotel to remember. The meals were good.

This place is an absolute delight. The beautiful building is perfectly laid out so that there are lots of lovely places to sit and relax yet the position of the rooms provides privacy. Everything about the place really is perfect. Restaurant serves great food, staff are efficient and helpful, the hitel full of elegant features. Great stay and great value for money.

Room in basement rather dark and cold in winter, Currently is construction ongoing next to the hotel which will be noisy during the day from 8 am to 7pm, so ask for the situation.

Management tries to charge two different prices for foreigners and locals. They try to force payment in USD or credit card rather than bolivianos if you’re a foreigner, but let Bolivians pay cash.

I really liked the overall atmosphere and decoration. It really has an historic atmosphere to it whilst still remaining very comfortable with regards to the amenities. Next to that, the staff was very accommodating with our requests like getting an airport taxi, getting an early check in (on a slight extra charge) after a long night bus.

The late checkout is a bit steep with half a day rate but we still opted to have our room until 6.30pm so could shower before our night bus.

Nothing - this is as good a boutique 5 star hotel as you will find anywhere in the world

The hotel used to be the Brazilian Consulate and is quite simply gorgeous inside and out. The period features are wonderful and the hotel is beautifully maintained with great attention to detail on display everywhere. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. I loved the atrium / courtyard filled with trees and colourful potted plants and the many different communal areas where you could relax, read or catch up on emails or the news. The rooftop breakfast and dinner spot has lovely views of the UNESCO rated old town. Reception staff speak perfect english and all staff are super polite and helpful.

Incredible house in the center of town. Beautifully decorated, full of charm, comfortable, and with many outdoor spaces to relax. The rooftop for the sunset was a pleasure to enjoy. We had the room on the ground floor with a view of the beautiful fountain. It was amazing!

Only gripe is that when extending in person they tried to charge a higher rate than I could book via Booking.com. Feel that as an existing guest the best rate should be been offered directly especially as they aren’t paying any fees to the platform.

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast is excellent. The let me check in early which was really appreciated after a long night bus. Would stay again.

The grounds are stunning and so inviting to sit and relax. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are modern. Great location with superb views of the city. The breakfast is incredible with so many choices for everyone. I also like that they provide purified water to fill your water bottle!

Wifi wasn’t working for at least 24hrs. No solution offered by the front desk. Street side room a bit noisy, not sound proof.
