Smell of sweat in the room. The room itself was a little shabby, half of it was covered with the construction dust. The fun part is - the hotel warned us in advance about the construction work on the site. So we asked for a room far away from works, and the hotel responded that it is possible and will be considered. But in fact, our room was right above the construction place. Luckily, it doesn't impact us at all :)

Just a normal hotel, nothing to say specifically. Very helpful and nice staff. Unexpectedly, they offer a really great and varied breakfast. There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around.

Great location adjacent to many restaurants, cafes and shops, with easy public parking, a short drive to the city centre. Comfortable rooms. Excellent Bruneian/Malay buffet breakfast and filter coffee.

Comfy hotel in quiet neighbourhood not far from the centre. The staff is very nice and accommodating, early check in and late check out possible. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast nice and with a rich variety.

The only downside for me was the carpeted floor in the room — I have a sensitive nose, so it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Great stay. Highly recommended! The place is clean, cozy, and fully equipped. The location is ideal — peaceful surroundings, close to town, and plenty of food options nearby. Breakfast was included, with a nice variety, and everything was delicious!

Quality of food for the breakfast could be slightly improved. Also I found the taxi service offered by the hotel to be very expensive (despite being well organized and smooth).

The staff is very supportive and responsive, both at the reception or even before the travel online to arrange logistics. it's also well placed not too far from main attractions in the city and close to the airport. The room is rather big and simple with the minimum comfort for 1 or 2 nights.

The only downside was the soundproofing; some noise from outside could still be heard.

We didn’t have high expectations based on the hotel photos, but it ended up exceeding them in every way: 1. The room was clean 2. The bed was comfortable 3. The boat trips the hotel provides is your money well worth. Otherwise a great central location for a few days outside the city centre but close to malls and restaurants.

Their ongoing maintenance was so noisy that I could not stay in the hotel because it gave me a headache.

I like the staff; they are very attentive and caring. They are polite and friendly—they are the asset of this place. I like the shuttle, with its reasonable price. The food is tasty 😋. The wifi is fast, the location is good, and they have a small gym, which I enjoyed because I think I was the only one using it 😀.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Al Afiah. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The room was clean, large, and had extremely comfortable beds. The hotel cleaned and made up the room quickly each day, which was highly appreciated. Reception helped arranged multiple tours and boat taxis (the hotel has its own jetty only 1 minute walk away), which allowed to easily explore the city and surrounding nature, We were also able to safely walk to both the town center and the night market from the hotel. Would highly recommend anyone coming to visit Brunei to stay here.

Pick-up at airport was arranged by the hotel and fast check-in with excellent services. Manage to visit Sultan Omar Ali Shaifuddin mosque via the hotel boat shuttle with minimal cost. Extended check-out up to 2.00 pm was easily done and fast check-out process. Hotel to airport transfer also smoothly done.
