How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Host was off of the island but communicated as best she could, however we did have some issues with payment because of this. Room was decent but the rest of the property was not very well taken care of and had some areas with clutter/trash. Furniture was a bit old. Location is also a bit of a challenge. You have to walk a ways to get to the bus and it is hilly.

Verified reviewThis listing is very deceivable and not what it seems to be in the photos we were put in a small one better unit which was infested with flies ants and cockroaches. We arrived and we’re shopped at the grounds of the property with overgrown grass a green pool, full of algae Due to a broken pump and construction debris dead plants in pots and buckets an old deteriorated outdoor furniture. The host informed us she would be away and that her son would handle all our concerns and issues which were not properly addressed. I contacted the host via email and got a response days later advising me a short staff weather conditions which was the cause of the overgrown grass mind you it didn’t rain once in the five days we were there. She also informed us that the pool pump is broke and that new furniture was ordered, but didn’t want it to arrive until she returned. This was to be a special trip celebrating our anniversary, which was nothing less of a great disappointment. Attempted to find other accommodations for the surrounding areas. We’re all booked up. We spent most of our time off of the property and only came back to sleep, which was a very unpleasant experience with ants crawling on our skin. I am shocked at all the positive reviews, which makes me wonder if they are even real and accurate. I had asked the guest for some kind of compensation. However, the only offer she provided was to return at a discounted rate. We will not be returning to that property therefore did not accommodate the unfortunate conditions issues we had experienced. Lyubomir you chose our Pompano Flats Ocean View Studio Suite located just steps away from our swimming pool. As you know many guest have attested that our property lends itself in many ways; such as the unobstructed ocean views of Port Royal Golf course & the ocean which embraces the South Shore spanning all the way both East and West. Phenomenal sunsets to relax and enjoy whether you are in or lounging around our swimming pool. Not to forget to mention our spacious grounds of both our front lawn where you can watch the rising of the sun and our garden located at the western side of our where I get my 'piece of peace' growing a bounty of fruits and vegetables year round which I enjoyed showing off to you & your lovely wife. Verified reviewWe spent 9 nights at the Bermuda Connections Guesthouse and were thoroughly looked after by Sabrina. Sabrina was a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming. She was on hand to recommend restaurants, things to do, help arrange transport and just lovely to chat to. The room was spacious and the kitchenette well equipped allowing us to enjoy meals in the gardens when not wanting to go out. The pool was a great addition, especially after a busy day of sightseeing. The guesthouse has good bus connections and easy to get to the beaches and Dockyard. The Beach Club and golf course are nearby for close dining options along with a small supermarket. Sabrina’s Bermuda Connections Guesthouse was perfect for our stay on island. NB. More suitable for potential travellers willing to have more independence and self cater.

A comfortable self contained room with lots of kitchen facilities. Close to the reliable bus service. Verified reviewI cannot say enough to fully capture what an amazing hidden gem this experience turned out to be. I traveled to Bermuda for work and decided to stay longer to experience more of the island - and I am so glad I did! The rooms were gorgeous and clean, and they had beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset. The color of the property was so vibrant, I described it as the “Barbie house” to my family back home. The host, Sabrina, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She even gave me a very personalized, authentic Bermuda experience- taking me to Palm Sunday services and on a Palm Sunday walk around the island. As someone who travels a lot and was not able to be with family on this trip during the Easter holiday season, having Sabrina show me around was an experience I will never, ever forget. I cannot recommend this place enough. The host is so kind, the stay was beautiful, the pool area was refreshing, and it is only a quick walk to the bus stop to get around the island. Truly a special and unforgettable stay. Cannot wait to come back!

Jaiden was such a delight, hence the reason I decided to invite her to expose her to an authentic Bermudian experience. Once she agreed, I told her I was 'kidnapping' her for the day. Unbekown to me until later, she was surprised that her friends were also very dear friends of mine. As a 4th Generation Bermudian whose passion is Hospitality and as a Certified Tourism Ambassador I get great pleasure in trying to ensure that any guest of ours is made to feel welcomed and treated like family whilst also giving you your space. Verified reviewExcellent value and the proprietor, Sabrina, was like having your own concierge. She couldn't have been more helpful in making sure everything, from the room, to the car rental was perfect. It was like a small B & B, without the breakfast, but provide the true sense of family in Bermuda. Room had all you could ask for, and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. T The garden overlooking the harbor area was truly a restful spot to relax The location did require one to have their own transportation. The only thing walking distance was the Pompano Beach Club, which was a nice looking property on the water. We ate dinner there twice, which was a real mistake. Neither of the 2 restaurants were worth going back to. The Port Royal Golf Course, a very short car ride away, did have a restaurant which we discovered and went back to the remaining nights. The food was excellent.
Nothing to do with place we stayed, but having gotten a bit on the old side, we decided not to rent the scooters which we had done probably 10 or more times in the past. We decided to take advantage of the new Mini/Max electric cars that were now available for tourists to rent. Without a doubt the Mini/Max was the most uncomfortable car ever imaginable. While it got you from point to point, it was not a pleasant ride at any time. So beware.

Check in was a bit confusing. I didn’t get any information on what to do. This was my first time doing this type of vacation so I didn’t know what to expect. We never saw anyone but it was still a wonderful stay.

I'm unsure as to why our 'Staff' rating was what it was; hence it made me revert back to our numerous conversations which was about 16, over the course of over 5 months so I went back to your reservation the Booking.com platform revealed the following correpondence: June 27th, 2024 17:45 - We acknowledged and thanked you for your reservation June 27th 19:46 you responded July 10th, 2024 8:11am You requested a specific check in time which was immediatedly approved September 14th, 2024 10:15am You requested transport information September 14th, 2024 10:25am I responded Sept 25th, 2024 8:05am You received our Guest Welcome Guide and FYI information Sept 25th, 2024 21:07 You wrote me a Thank you for my 'Speedy Response' October 5th, 2024 You sent me a messge 'Everything has been wonderful, Thank You' October 5th, 2024 I responded. You came to Bermuda to attend the wedding of my neighbour's son who are the owners of Pompano Beach Club. The host Sabrina was very accomodating, she took the time on the first day to review the island map and make recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and what to see on the island. She made dinner reservations and was very helpful with recommendations and arranging excursions. The location was perfect for exploring the entire island. We rented a car and was able to charge the car at the property every night. I will be back. Great property and location for the value.

Verified reviewSabrina, she is a complete hostess and very attentive to details. She literally thinks of everything you might need and is one step ahead. The views are spectacular. We happened to be there for a full moon and it was amazing! She literally could not do enough for us.
Trying to get around to explore can get pretty expensive and the walk up the hill was a bit daunting after a day in the sun, but the public bus was super easy and we always felt safe.

Verified reviewThe property was not on par compared to its photos and reviews. My room was much better than my friends. That being said her experience was not pleasant.
My friends room was ant infested. Although we arrived after a cat 1 hurricane, the property was not routinely sprayed for pests. We left 2 nights early at a loss to town where it was easier to navigate the island using less buses and taxis.

Verified reviewWe were completely deceived with this property. How on earth Bermuda Connections Guest House received such positive reviews confounds me to no end. My room was dingy, dark and grossly infested with ants. While I understand there was a hurricane, she did not take care of the issue. She then put me in another room, which was an improvement, so I was ok. However, the next day she informed me that she had another guest coming and he booked the room she just put me in, so I would have to go back to the original, ant-infested room. She told me she was going to have it fumigated, which she never did, because after she said it was fumigated, I went outside to check for the ants, and they were crawling all over the outside of the window. We left two and a half days early and took a loss.
False advertising just to get business is despicable! Even our cab drivers couldn't believe what a dump this place is. One of our cab drivers is working on having the Bermuda government regulate these Airbnb's, specifically for places like this.

Verified reviewThe Superior Studio with Ocean View was extremely comfortable and clean. The interactions with our host, Sabrina, were remarkable, and she was very knowledgeable about Bermuda. All personal touches made us feel like we were at home. The location was in Southhampton Parish. We had a car, which made getting around to all the places we wanted to go more efficient.

Now I’m taking time to catch up as not only me but my Mother had taken ill & was in ICU in both November & December 2024 and we nearly lost her 3 times, in addition my daughter’s home caught fire December 12th, 2024.
