How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIts ok. Still I’m not used to the prices of hotels.
Slightly complicated check-in. If you have Whatsapp do nit expect details in the app but check WhatsApp. They don’t answer the phone calls which is not nice when you sit on your luggage in the hotel’s doorway and don’t know what to do.

Verified reviewThe location is perfect. This is a calm quarter, the beautiful park is nearby, the shopping area with restaurants and cafes is in 15 minutes walk distance. The staff is hidden. You write the time of arrival via WhatsApp and receive access codes. Pay attention to this. You should have WhatsApp and internet connection for checking in. There is a Nescafe machine in the room.

Verified reviewgood location
no staff, no reception. cold water and when asked it was apparently an on-going issue. the bathroom door handle was broken, the interior was weird and off-putting. The door to the lobby was locked 24/7 and it would've only opened with a code, that made me anxious bc i saw a couple who couldn't open the door even with a code. over all a disappointed experience and i wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Verified reviewThe staff member who we saw on reception when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. Clean towels each day.
There was no hot water the first night. It’s not in a great location but walkable to the city centre. Strange you get a WhatsApp message with an entry code and told which room on the day. It’s quite run down and the restaurant is permanently closed. The first night we had no hot water and it wasn’t reliable for hot water the other days. Also no shower screen so water went everywhere. The bedding was clean, the room and bathroom were cleanish but it was run down and doesn’t look like the photos. There was a fan but it was old and made a racket wasn’t worth using. If you just want a bed and nothing else otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it was one of few places with rooms left during F1 weekend so was still quite pricey especially for what it is

Verified reviewUnfortunately this isn’t a three star hotel, it is 20 rooms. With no facilities, no restaurant and no bar. It’s a bit like student accommodation.
Complete lack of any restaurant or bar or staff on site. And we had to have a cold shower before we went to Formula 1 at Spa on the Saturday morning which was very poor. It’s misrepresentation to state this is a three star hotel.

Verified reviewIt was the only place in town with a room when our other booking.com property turned out to be a fake. The property was very quick to respond with availability and checked to make sure we were happy with the type and number of beds we booked since what we booked was different than what we got.
No lift to take luggage up, no AC and no shower curtain made the room wet, it was very expensive for what it was but that’s because the F1 race in Spa was happening.

Verified reviewRoom was large and clean. Nespresso coffee machine and water provided.
No staff at all. Everything done remotely. Bizarre key code door lock. Fittings in bathroom loose. Shower not working properly. Appears to be no maintenance taking place. The whole has the feeling of a pretty basic 3* hotel that has passed its best and now is being run without any staff presence on the basis of just turning rooms over.

Verified reviewThe location is pretty good, its relatively close to the city center and the train station. The bathroom is pretty big It was very clean and didn't smell
This "Hotel" is pretty rough. When I arrived there, noone was there and the door was locked. After waiting for 20 minutes and texting via WhatsApp with no response someone finally opened the door (There was a sign on the door with a number asking to text via WhatsApp...). Then the staff wasn't all to friendly he just gave me the key didn't even smile once. After arriving in the room I was severely disappointed as the room looked nothing like in the pictures. I checked in at about 15:30 and at 16:00 the staff was already gone so noone could answer any questions. I tried texting via WhatsApp but no response again. Also they requested me to give them my credit card details without really saying what they need it for which is very sketchy never had something like this before. At the end of the day the Hotel served its purpose but it wasn't great and not worth the price I paid at the time.

Verified reviewThis is a comfortable cozy hotel at about 10 minute nice walk from the main station, and there are frequent buses and trams nearby. The room was nicely and newly furnished, with a comfortable bed, kettle, very good bathroom. Staff are kind and helpful. Wifi was good. There is a nearby public park / monument area, and the main/older part of town is adjacent. Also 24 hour shops, and other shops/restaurants, botanical garden. Overall good value for money.
Stairs a little bit on the narrower side going up, but one gets used to it. SMS with PIN code wasn't there prior to arrival, so an SMS query was necessary, requiring a working phone. Maybe this was because of earlier requests to provide credit card details for city taxes due, but not everyone is prepared to send such details by email.
