The room window was giving to the street so it was a bit noisy.Nothing too much but if you are a light sleeper it can be a bit of a problem.

Angelique goes above & beyond to look after her guests in this beautiful stone-built house. My room was clean, airy and comfortable. The evening meal was fantastic and above expectation for a weary traveller. The generous breakfast next morning set me up nicely for my onward journey.

Beautiful house, clean room, comfortable bed, fantastic host. Great dinner was prepared for us (on advance request). Breakfast was great with fresh, local products and lots of choice. We stayed one night on our way to France, but it would also be a great place to stay for a weekend to enjoy the surroundings.

If I was to be very picky, I’d say I’d prefer to have a more plump pillow. However, we both slept very well anyway.

Very friendly host. A comfortable room with a unique decor style. The house smelt lovely when we arrived and the room/bathroom was very clean. The breakfast selection was excellent and there was a lot of effort made to make it special for us. Fabulous food!

Good diner, specially cooked for us, with scampi, beef and desert. Very good and so friendly served. Breakfast included and extended and delicious.

I had to spend the night near Houffalize on short notice and I had looked for a quiet place, a comfortable bed and a warm meal, on a reasonable budget. This place met all my expectations. The host cooked an excellent evening meal and brewed fresh tea, as I arrived on a freezing cold winter night. The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I wish I had a little more time to spend over there to have a decent breakfast. I would most definitily stop there again any time and recommend this place to any friendly fellow traveller.

Angelique was born to be a hostess. A very kind, welcoming and open person. I am a big breakfast eater and it did not disappoint in the least! There was fresh juice, coffee, bread, ham cheese marmelades, small pastries… she even made fresh eggs on the spot. The rooms are themed, I had one with an African theme. Beautiful, cosy but plenty of room, private shower and toilet. Just fantastic. If I’m in need of accommodation again in this neighbourhood, I’ll know where to go! Merci mille fois, Angelique! :)

Where to start ! A most beautifully and tastefully furnished house and the most amazing hostess. The food is exceptional and could not be faulted in any way. The whole experience was totally above and beyond what I could have expected. I cannot rate l'émiline highly enough.

This is like a bed and breakfast in a small quaint Belgian town. At first it was hard to fine but once you find it- it’s a magical quaint elegant place. The hostess is amazing so gracious and sweet. She entertained and served you like you were in a 5 star resort/ restaurant. Her breakfast spread was amazing and she was always there to accommodate your every need. I wish I could speak Flemish so I could have explained how much we enjoyed it. Hand signals and our smile I am sure showed . Glad we found this gem.

The warm and friendly welcome. The clean and cozy house/room. The excellent breakfast and dinner. The location, excellent for hiking (the vallée de l'Ourthe especially is beautiful). The friendliness of the host.
