How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewI really enjoyed the fresh renovation and the pool is a good size with rooms that face out onto the pool. This was great for our kids to get up an get straight out to the water.
The hotel has a communal microwave, which is a great addition, but we didn't realise until later on in the holiday so may be worth highlighting this.

Verified reviewWas expecting a more quieter room the room was right next to lobby and in the vicinity for main traffic in and out of the hotel, to pool and restaurant.
The pool was well kept and housekeeping was adequate but mostly this hotel was closer to where I need travel to and the area was near several beaches.

Verified reviewUpon arrival there was no staff at reception to check me in,I was told that the guy stepped out (this was around 6pm). After waiting I had to leave the hotel and the came back. After I came back and checked in, I asked the guy (Alex) at front deck for help with my luggage he said yes ( I had a big suitcases, a duffle bag , a stroller and my 5 month old baby) when I got outside he didn’t even move from his seat but I realized he was “ HIGH” after waiting I then went back in and the security Alison helped me,(she was very helpful) I explain to front desk that I was traveling with my baby and it would be hard for me to go up and down the steps with my stroller&carSeat a baby bag, my bag and my baby.alex then told me it was only 10 stairs (in which it was 20+) he told me he’d help me get a different room in the morning in which I didn’t get. I booked this hotel because it had the option for me to add a crib, when I got to the room there was no crib i asked Alex multiple times for the crib I never got it , after I went out and came back I asked him again for the crib he said he didn’t know how to set it up. Mind you I been book this reservation in advance. Fast forward to the day I leave. I called the front desk for help with my luggages, the lady I spoke to never send me anyone I called again , I had to start struggling with my stuff, until I saw the security guy running to come help me. ( I didn’t get his name, but he was very nice and helpful throughout my stay)

Room on ground floor next to common area. Was a little noisy at times. No iron or ironing board. Had to request this. When requested the room to be serviced, towels were not changed and bed was not freshened up.

Verified reviewThe hotel was in a good location. There was an ATM just down the road, a bakery next door, and a beach literally opposite the hotel. I managed to buy a really cute anklet and bracelet there. There were also some restaurants and coffee spots within walking distance. The room itself was well lit, and I got some cute pictures on the balcony.
When we arrived, the staff at reception were unfriendly, which didn’t give a great first impression. There was no lift, luggage was carried up three flights of stairs by hand. There was also a rooster on the hotel grounds near the pool area that was crying all day and night. The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly because there was a lot of hair in the shower, and the balcony door wouldn’t slide shut completely. To top it off, the one night we stayed there, there was extremely loud live music, singing, and karaoke going on really late into the night. I couldn’t sleep at all without using earplugs. It made it very difficult to relax or get any proper rest.
