Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomEverything was actually perfect!
Wow! The pictures just don't do this place justice, it is amazing! Really spacious, beautifully furnished, comfortable, and absolutely, by far, the most well equipped place I've ever stayed, literally everything had been thought of, from needle and cotton, to playing cards, to snorkels and tennis rackets! There wasn't a single thing we could have wanted that wasn't there. The place was impeccably clean and we felt at home right away. The rooms all have large en suite bathrooms and plenty of bedding. The sofas (both inside and out) were soooo comfortable. The pool is a decent size and well maintained. The patio area is just perfect both for chilling out (on the sofas) or eating at the large table. In addition, we got the most comprehensive guide to both the house and the area on whatsapp which was so helpful. Local property manager Marcia was just lovely. Having a washing machine was so useful, there was a retractable washing line so we were able to wash swimwear and towels which was really handy. There's a stunning, very quiet beach about a 10 minute walk away that needs to be seen to be believed. Don't hesitate, if you're lucky enough to get availability here, grab it!

United KingdomIn general not alot! For us though we felt it was a little bit too far from the supermarket which meant a bus ride down and a taxi back. The bus stop was just a short walk away so it wasn't a deal breaker at all, but it did mean we had to plan meals more carefully. If we'd hired a car this wouldn't have been a problem at all, so it really is just personal preference. It certainly wouldn't put me off coming here again.
The house is very clean and comfortable, nicely furnished with great facilities. It felt like a home rather than a rental. Plenty of kitchen utensils/crockery/cutlery etc. Good size fridge freezer which was new. The pool was a good size for a plunge when it got too hot and the main pool in the complex was good enough to do a proper swim. On the days when there was no building works going on nearby it was really quiet, and at the rate the builders were working, this will finish soon. Each bedroom was a good size with a good size ensuite to each. The open plan living area was spacious and comfy and the seating area outside was just so lovely. Marcia was on hand at the drop of a hat to sort out any small niggles and was lovely. All communication with the owners beforehand was easy and thorough. All in all a very good holiday!

United StatesWhen we ran the washer, there was no hot water during the showers. Careful not to run them at the same time.
The pool was nice, living area and kitchen was spacious, 3 large bathrooms, 1 half bath downstairs.

United KingdomIt wasn't within walking distance of a supermarket, which isn't much of an issue as easy to get a bus or drive to local supermarket at Holetown.
The location on the West Coast was great. It was within walking distance of the beach and some restaurants. The bus stop was also within a short walk. It was safe and had lots of facilities on site. The property has it's own pool and there is a second larger pool within the gated site.

United KingdomNothing. other than it’s already booked up when I wanted it again this year lol
Well I’m loathe to leave a glowing review as then everyone will know about this absolute gem and they are already full for me to return next year sadly. But the truth is the villa is beautiful, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds all with en suites. every little thing you could need even tennis bats, beach towels, washing up liquid etc. So often villas are complete empty shells with you requiring to buy even simple items like salt and pepper but nanpa had everything, even a drawer with medicines in. we didn’t use them as didn’t need to and I left medicines we took and also didn’t need to add to the supplies for future guests, likewise with our leftover coffee pods we added them to the supply available. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. we did hire a car which gave us the freedom to explore the island and other beaches plus go food shopping etc. The pool area loses the sun at about 3pm after having it all morning so that was the time we would head to the beach, or the communal pool on site to play some tennis/table tennis at the communal facilities. Paul and his wife are great hosts, easily contactable and provide good information plus local tips, like taxis etc. Marcia who maintains the villa in barbados was lovely and again on hand to answer any questions we had, or guide us in when we got lost finding it on the first night (was dark due to flight delay). The kitchen was great, a real home from home, again with everything you could possibly need including things like egg cups, Tupperware etc. oh and my husband and sons loved the ice machine in the fridge which was a godsend in the heat with cold water and ice on tap. All in all a lovely relaxing stay and great base from which to explore beautiful barbados. We hope to return again to Nanpa in the future. Maybe for 2025 if I can get in early and book it!

United KingdomWe had a couple of days of very heavy rain (not the fault of the villa!), which resulted in the patio area being flooded because drainage wasn't working properly. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. Slightly worse was that the roof developed a leak into one bedroom that dripped onto a cupboard then down onto a laptop, though fortunately no harm done. The good thing is there is a very efficient local property manager on hand to resolve any issues quickly. Just be aware that as at summer 2023 there is also building work going on around the area, both within and outside the gated community, so occasionally we got noise from that. Also be aware that the cost of living in Barbados is high! Food in the shops and in restaurants is expensive, car hire is not cheap either, and paying for any other trips and activities soon adds up for a family of 4. Clearly this is not a reflection on the villa, just something to be aware of when travelling to Barbados. Having said that, the locals we met or spoke to were almost universally lovely, friendly and helpful.
We stayed at Nanpa in July 2023, family of 4, youngest being 17. The villa can sleep 6, but might feel slightly cramped with that number, depending what you're used to. For 4 it was great. The villa is in a good location, 5 minutes' walk from a lovely beach and 20 minutes walk from the town, so you can get by without a car if you prefer. There are also very good (though not cheap) local restaurants within walking distance - eg 10 minutes to the Sea Cat and the Horny Ram restaurants - and a small but useful grocery store and a bakery about the same distance. It's in a gated community of about 30 villas and felt safe. The pool at the villa is great for cooling off, but if you want to swim you can use the communal pool, which is slightly larger, though don't expect anything near Olympic size. A good tennis court and table tennis table are also available for all to use, with racquets and bats in the villa. In the villa itself the kitchen is really well equipped, with pretty much everything you could need to do all your own cooking. The washing machine is easy to use and there is a large American-style fridge freezer dispensing cold water and ice. There are plenty of towels provided for both indoor and outdoor use, which is a nice touch. There are outdoor sofas and a dining table on the covered patio, plus 4 good quality loungers. The bedrooms are all a decent size with plenty of storage space - you won't run out of places to put your clothes. All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, which are also good size, and everything was clean. Beds were all very comfortable and no shortage of pillows. The wifi was solid apart from one day when it seemed there were general network issues. The TV had various subscription options (eg Netflix), but we didn't really go away to watch TV.

United KingdomNo, property faultless.
Upon arrival at the property you can see straight away this is a well loved home. The exterior is immaculate with a small beautiful garden, and drive way. The interior was more impressive. An extremely wonderful and spacious living/ kitchen area with a downstairs toilet and separate utility room. The decor is modern but definitely homely. The kitchen was without fault, it was definitely a home from home. Whatever you needed from cooking instruments, coffee filters , blender, mixer to cleaning materials was provided. There are 2 separate patio doors leading out onto a large outdoor area, which happily sits a dining table for 6, two 3 seater sofas, 4 sun lounges and a lovely sized pool. Venturing up the wooden staircase, there are 3 great sized bedrooms, all with en_suite, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and balcony. The mattresses were extremely comfortable and fluffy pillows made for a great night sleep. Wardrobe space was more than ample with lots of hangers. Each bedroom was given 4 beach towels as well as plenty of bath and hand towels.
