Reviews of Old Town Residence Rooms

Room had an overpowering smell of damp, the bed sheets were stained (not sure if not changed or stains don’t wash out) towels should have been replaced years ago by the look of things.

The staff at the reception was friendly and give me all the information I asked. The location is perfect even though you’re up a hill.

I slept in this residence two different days when visiting Sarajevo. Both time in different rooms. The first stay this room was terrible. Water was dripping heavily from AC on the floor rug and walls. In the area where the water was leaking had mold on the walls and rug. The light in bathroom was so dimmed you cannot see anything. I asked to fix but they only told me ok and did not do anything. The smell of sewage in bathroom is terrible, even closing the door it still come out in the room. The second room was better (no leaking AC and no mold) however the bathroom still smell and the lights was not the best. In the busy schedule of visiting Bosnia and no one remember me to pay cash only and I left early before the reception open I assumed they would charge my card. I was contacted later after I leaf that I needed to return to pay, once I told them I already left Sarajevo they ask me to send the money via western union because they could not charge my card or receive a bank transfer. I found a western union in the town I was located and send the money, but I think they should be more organized and be on top of the guest or maybe charge upon checking since its their responsibility

My stay here was comfortable, and the location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk from the city center..

I was waiting for a reply from the receptionist about an airport transfer, but I never received one. The code for the main entrance was also incorrect. After I took a shower, the bathroom floor was flooded. There was a slight sewer smell in the bathroom, which unfortunately is a common issue in most places I've stayed in Bosnia.

Very clean, comfortable and super nice staff. It was located a little walk down the hill from the city centre. It’s a nice quiet street.

We did like everything, but if I have to say anything it’s defiantly the hills of Sarajevo. It’s a rough path up to the hotel, but nothing the hotel can do anything about

Location was very good and in the centre of old town ? *Amina and Adlisa were very cooperative and kind. They helped with anything you needed and answered any question you had, so thank you to both of them.

The room flooring might need to be changed to wooden, and the towels also need to be replaced and renewed.

Good location. A bit walk uphill from the old town center though. The bed linen is professional laundered, room wasn’t big but functional. Detailed check-in instructions before arrival.

Couldn’t find a hairdryer and no one replied my message…

A cozy little hostel situated just a few steps away from the old town’s wonders. It’s kind of self-service place as the staff is there only from 8 am to 3 pm. However, they are pretty easily contactable by WhatsApp. The curtain rod was repaired immediately and I was helped to get a taxi to the airport for my early flight. I would like to thank the warm-hearted and kind receptionist whose smiling eyes made me happy every time I met her 😍 There’s fridge for your own food and a vending machine for snacks as the breakfast is not served. The whole hostel is non-smoking area. WiFi worked fast, which is a big plus. The only thing that I missed was the fresh air, there’s no change to ventilate the room. It could be good if there was a storage room or something like that for visitors to get toilet paper and plastic bags, fresh towels, maybe a hairdryer to loan etc. when the staff is not available. Note that paying is only possible by cash. In total worth for staying a short holiday, very reasonable prices as well. I will come back soon! 😉

There’s no possibility to get a fresh air or to ventilate the rooms. There’s AC though.

There is a well equipated kitchen and a comunal room to have lunch comfortably, also there is a personal bathroom and the place is nicely decorated. But my personal fav experience was talking with the receptionist, both of them really nice and professional, they helped me to find some places to visit and also I have to thank the receptionist of the weekends because she helped me to collect some information about the history of Bosnia, we had a great conversation.

The room where I slept was a little bit noisy and you have to go up a hill to get to the place.

They are a really amazing hotel ,, they give us all information we need in advance, despite our very late check-in, highly recommend 👌

I was reluctant to write this review because of the friendly staff, but I feel compelled to warn other travelers—I only wish someone had warned me!

I’ve been traveling full time for years now and staying in countless hotels, but I’ve never experienced such a bad bed bug problem. I got dozens of itchy bites all over my body in 1 night, especially my arms, and even saw bugs crawling on the wall. Sleeping on the floor on the 2nd night using the same sheets stopped new bites, so the bugs are most probably in the bed structure that is made of some velvet tissue. The hotel looks clean, in a good location, and the staff were very kind and empathetic when I reported the issue. They promised to investigate and take action, which I appreciate. However, the bites made my stay in Bosnia a nightmare, and It feels unfair that I had to pay for this stay. I hope they fix this problem soon because otherwise, it’s a nice hotel. Avoid Room 8 for now.

The hostel is very good for the price and very near the old city center.

The place didnt even have a small chair and a table. But the staff was nice.
